Christmas is almost there, whee!

Watched the first three episodes of Empire last night on the telly and dude, that was pretty boring. So when I said I watched the first three episodes, that's not exactly true. It was more a background sound as anything else. I was hoping to get into it and maybe get into the slash - as a bonus, as you do - because Tyrannus/Octave sounded nice at first but no. Also, Octave reminds me a bit of Clark in SV, he looks Clueless and Stupid and that's not of the good either. The only nice moment was in "Arkham" when he's mistaken for a prostitute - it was "belle amazone" here and "catin" there and "la catin est ma propriété" and okay, that at least got my attention ;-) Also, when they said it was a 'historical' mini-series, what they meant was that the story is set in the past, right? Not that it has historical values or anything. Right? Because dude! Yeah anyway, I didn't get into it. Good thing it only has six episodes - is that it? Hopefully I'll like Rome better *fingers crossed*

I'm going to the movies with moimoietmoi and dont_callmebabe this evening to see Narnia - yay! - and I'm also hoping that the audience won't, like, kick me in the head if I cough too much. The Cough of Doom is still there - albeit a bit better today it seems - and at night it's like so kicking my ass so I don't want to bother the audience, eeek! We'll see how it goes *fingers crossed*

On unrelated news, I received the dreaded Account Expiring Soon mail from LJ this morning and I realised the Brilliant Offer of paid account time + 100 userpics was already over? I thought it lasted until the end of the week. Don't ask me why, but there you go *blink* [ETA: Okay so it's been extended but it doesn't work when you're gifting the thing to yourself so never mind.] But this isn't the only mail I received and the other was So Much Better. I have a new present under the tree! I received my present from Babycakes, thank you, honey! See, you needn't worry, it was there right on time :-)

Speaking of which, I can't believe tomorrow is Christmas! I love me some Réveillon. So yay Christmas is tomorrow! *bounces* So, since I don't know whether I'll update again before maybe Sunday - I want to wish you a Merry Christmas. And if you don't celebrate it, I wish you a good holiday or a good day *hugs flist*

They're extending it until tomorrow, but it only applies for gifts, not if you buy it for yourself. Of course, if you were me, and if I could pay online, I'd make a deal with a friend so we'd buy each other the thing and trick LJ :D
