Hey, that's an anomaly!
Feb. 2nd, 2005 02:22 pmYou know how some people collect stamps? Well, me, I collect tv series. I was like that when I was six years old, so it's nothing new. And why am I telling you this? Because:
I saw Numb3rs mentioned one time too many on my flist and decided to download it. Because I've been in a downloading frenzy the past few days and they upgraded my program and it's all shiny now. Anyway, I really did it out of curiosity and wasn't expecting anything, but wow it rocked! So I? Might have found another show which I'd like to follow *cough*
First, well let's be honest here, I did like the premise. I mean, there was 'genius' mentioned somewhere in there, and I usually can't resist geniuses *g* Then the dynamics between the main characters is awesome and the visuals are just brilliant - I love how they integrate the equations and formulae into the scenes. It creates a very original imagery, and one that is quite compelling too *g*
Also, I had some nice surprises. In the first scene for instance, I was like "Hey, nice, I'll have a female character who looks sexy and smart and doesn't have anything to do with a bimbo and wait a minute! I actually know that wom- OMG but it's Wade!" Yes, Wade Wells or, you know, Sabrina Lloyd plays in that series and she looks good! Then later it was time for some "OMG it's John Gage!" because yes again, Peter MacNicol also plays in it. When shows collide...
I think I'm going to dig Numb3rs really much, and Don and Charlie a lot too. Their dad as well. They make a very good team and I'll enjoy seeing them interact with each other *g* Most of the characters were interesting, actually. I think it'll be a blast *g* Besides, even though I sucked at math, I find mathematics as a whole really fascinating. I mean, even when I sucked I loved the theories. I understood them well enough, I just totally sucked at putting the theory to use *shrug* But I love languages and math is just another one of them, you know? So all in all, I'm having fun with the show and its equations and stuff, even if I don't understand those for obvious reasons, because hello, a math genius I am SO not *shakes head vehemently*
Being a tv series whore is just so much fun *hugs self*

No real surprise, I think *g* Also, I picked the 80 first commenters. It was getting too long otherwise *g*
And finally. Bad Y!M, bad, that evicted me from my chat with
babycakesin *glare* But huh... Clark just ceased working, so maybe it's a case of bad Clark, bad! Then again, now that he's back to work... good boy, Clark, good boy. Keep going *pets him*

I haven't tried it, but seen it rec'ed. Apparently you can load large files quite easily. They'll hold it for a week, and you send the password to anyone you want, and they can download copies -- again, easier than an email transfer.
If you do, would you send me the password, too? I meant to check out that show, but missed the first two eps... (I *could* flaunt my big boobs, but wouldn't that be cheating, since I wouldn't follow through?)

Date: 2005-02-02 01:30 pm (UTC)Hey honey, that series Numb3rs sounds really intriguing. I've been reading about it all over the place too. Would you mind telling me where to download it from?
no subject
Date: 2005-02-02 01:39 pm (UTC)Well, please don't laugh, but I downloaded my file from iMesh. No torrent or any real sharingfiles softward for me, apparently. Anyway, iMesh works now and then, so yeah *g*
I know that you can find the torrent files for the two first episodes here (http://www.btefnet.net/index.php?show=106) though, if that's what you prefer.
I'm trying to upload my own file at YSI atm but seeing how heavy it is, I don't know if YSI will be strong enough, it's sometimes quite stubborn *g*

OH GOD, and speaking of tv series, did you hear about "La Plage de Newport"? apparemment c'est comme ca que va s'apeller The OC en France, on a eu des sneak-peeks aux versions etrangeres hier avec le "special season 2" ... et mon dieu, mon dieu, que c'est laid! j'en arrive a me demander comment qui que ce soit en France peut supporter de voir les series doublees. en tous cas moi c'est sur, je pourrai pas. je suis spoilee a vie, la. *shudders*

Date: 2005-02-02 01:58 pm (UTC)C'est pas comme ça que 'va s'appeler' la série, c'est comme ça 'qu'elle s'appelle' lol I laughed when I saw the title because it's so fucking stupid! Can't say I'm into The O.C though, so I could care less but seriously, dude! Talk about a stupid title change *shakes head*

Well I don't know, do you mean to tell me my entries are coherent enough to actually attract coherent comments? lol
Also, this has nothing to do with anything but I thought about what you said in your last mail and decided to include a little 'Slash but also Gen and Het still approved and encouraged' comment at ST - so thanks for bringing up the subject, even if you were just mentioning it passing, you know? *g*
