Oh la la, je suis cassée de chez cassée là *feels miserable* Cough of Doom is making me cranky. And now I can't breath properly and it's making me crankier. Hi flist, it's 5.30 am here and I'm awake against my will. How's your day going? *yawns* *coughs* *curses*
My sis, cousin Rémi - my godfather and aunt arrived yesterday as today is the Big Appointment at the IGR and Rémi was with them - and I will go to the mall and other places today, so technically I should try to sleep more - which I think I'll do after I post this entry anyway - but right now I can't sleep and I don't want to watch TV and I don't feel like reading my books and I wantmy blankie to surf LJ so there *pout*
Did I mention I was a tad cranky? Good.
Though wait, I watched Numb3rs - so let's say this post won't be, say, 100% annoying. Well, I guess it might be if you're not into the show, of course - but then, dude, why wouldn't you love Numb3rs. Why? *blink* Also, rhetorical question. I mean, any other day you could tell me why you don't like Numb3rs. Right this minute? You would only make me cry *Blair puppy dog look*
Yeah so a quick review. It's not that I didn't like the episode, it's just that it's too early and stuff :-)
Numb3rs 2x11 - Scorched
How much did I love that Don wanted to protect Charlie from seeing the dead guy? And how much did I love that he steered him away from the pretty awful body? That much, yes. Hey, how did you guess? You're good!
It made me laugh when Paul asked to "borrow their professor" because I was thinking "dude, everyone wants Charlie for themselves". It's like, you know how it's said that the biggest sexual organ is the brain? Well in Numb3rs it would appear they're all size queens lol
How can it be that the scenes between Larry and Charlie are always so incredibly awesome? So geeky and sweet and smart and just - those two, they make such an incredible team. It's nothing new, but it kinda blows my mind sometimes, anyway. I loved that first scene in the office when Charlie is trying to find a break in his equations and Larry points him in a new direction and then encourages him to go further and further. Larry must be one hell of a teacher.
Loved the scene in the tub as well. Seriously Alan has his hands full with those two, hasn't he? lol And he's not even surprised anymore ;-)
Speaking of which, I so love it each time Alan helps the guys. I really enjoy the fact that Charlie, for all genius that he is, knows how to ask his dad for help and how he trusts his father's own intelligence and expertise. That's brilliant. And I know I always say it but some things bear repeating, the Alan-Charlie-Larry Team rocks!
Something else I enjoyed in that episode were all the little tidbits of information we got about Charlie's past - his time at Princeton, how difficult it was for him and all. Again, it's nothing new, but it's something more and I can't get enough of those details ;-)
And the last scene was - do I even need to say it - brilliant. Then again, every single scene with the Eppes men has been since day one. Still, it's also one of those things that bear repeating. But my love for this family knows no bounds so when I see a scene like the last one, it just makes my heart sing or something. It's bantery and sweet and they talk about Serious Stuff and still banter and tease each other at the same time and it's so comfortable and family-ey *happy sigh*
Some random thoughts too:
Still love Megan more than words can say. And I absolutely adore the fact that she always lets you know when she doesn't get something *g*
I also enjoyed how she tried to make Charlie feel better about Paul using him and all - how she tried to show him that the likes of Paul want to get arrested in the end and that Charlie did contribute to that. Her "you did good" was really sweet.
Hey, no David in this episode? It's not buddies. But at the same time, each time part of the cast is missing - here both Amita and David, though we see Amita less than David anyway - it means we'll get more Eppes scenes so I can't say I'm complaining. Sorry, guys *apologetic look*
Hail to Numb3rs and continuity. So Charlie is definitely still working on his new project, and he still doesn't like fingerprinting. Cool ;-)
Dude, I feel better already *happy sigh* Okay so not really, but in a way, Numb3rs can always make me feel better so yeah *g*

Date: 2005-12-19 05:22 am (UTC)oh my poor love! I'm sorry you're so cranky and awake and everything! *massive hug*
I'd say 'let me know how things went' but I know you will, so I'll shut up (no, I won't even sing - that's how nice I am)

::but not to much coz I have already been ill and don't want it back::
'Scorched' wasn't one of my fave eps, but I loved the scene of Charlie, Larry and Bill Nye, geeking out in the basement. And the scene at the end *g*, loved that. But not as much as I loved the tag scene in 'Bones of contention'

Date: 2005-12-20 09:37 pm (UTC)The geeking scenes in Numb3rs are all wonderful. That show is, like, geek heaven :-)

Date: 2005-12-19 09:14 am (UTC)Now, on a more cheerful note, Numb3rs. That thing really does have a cheering up quality, doesn't it? *g* And Megan rocks!

You know, sometimes, I forget Amita is even on the show. I like it that way. :p And while I did miss David, I agree that this way, we get more Eppes scenes and how could that not be a good thing? ;)

Date: 2005-12-20 09:39 pm (UTC)I have to second that, I like Amita well enough and she's nice when she's here, I love geeks and I adore the Geeky Trio but still, I can't say I miss her per se when she's not here. And though I like David a lot too, if his absence is the price to pay to get more Eppes scenes? Well, I'm kinda ready to pay it *cough*

Date: 2005-12-19 09:34 am (UTC)I'm not too sad about some cast members missing from some eps, even though I likeboth David and Amita. Last week Colby was missing. They obviously don't know what to do with all of them, so I'd rather they leave some of them out from time to time and gives us more Larry and Eppes scenes. Loved the last scene too, but I really wanted them to get wet... *g*

Date: 2005-12-20 09:43 pm (UTC)I wonder when he'll notice that Colby has this totally inappropriate crush on him...
That would be fun! Maybe one day Charlie will start to really think of why exactly is it that Colby is always around his office and why the man sometimes just, like, stays there and just looks at him while Charlie works.
They obviously don't know what to do with all of them, so I'd rather they leave some of them out from time to time and gives us more Larry and Eppes scenes.
I completely, totally second that *nods*

Date: 2005-12-21 09:42 pm (UTC)That's just it, he hangs around in Charlie's office as if he has nothing better to do. It's all "Don send me to..." and then he watches
Charlie's assCharlie do equations and fondle the chalk. And have you noticed that we have never actually seen Don ask him to go to Charlie? Also, don't they have phones?Ah, the excuses a man with a crush will find... *g*

And it's nice to know that some producers care about continuity. That's not a given nowadays.

Date: 2005-12-20 09:46 pm (UTC)Er yeah, I think my idea of short isn't the same as the rest of the world's lol

You can say that again *nods*

Date: 2005-12-19 02:44 pm (UTC)Numb3rs...Loren Dean was the the arson investigator, i was so hoping he might be back...somehow the occasional threesome story makes me feel a little better about the Don/Charlie love. Is that wrong?
Be cranky and enjoy it. At least until you feel better ;)

Lol I wouldn't say it's wrong at all *g* As far as I'm concerned, everything is good when it brings the brothers together. And if one isn't completely comfortable with the incest thing, well it's nice they can still find little coping mechanism - and a threesome is one hell of a good coping mechanism lol

Date: 2005-12-19 05:02 pm (UTC)Don protecting Charlie makes my heart sing. *g* Yes, Paul was crushing on Charlie and he'd just met him. Which is odd, since he seemed to know Don. I bet he was setting the fires just so he could meet Charlie. *g* The tub! *snorfle* Loved Larry with bare legs and Alan in his bath robe. And Larry *cough* offering to hold the hose so Alan could take a shower. No, really, he was! *g*
I also adore getting more info about their past, so this ep was great for that. And the last scene made me so happy! Don going through his mail as they all congregate in the bathroom to watch Alan try and undo Charlie's experiment, and then Don and Charlie working on it together. *happy sigh* And the continuity, yes!
See, now I enjoyed this ep, but I didn't love it. And I don't know why, because there really was a lot of great moments in it.

Date: 2005-12-20 09:51 pm (UTC)The info about their past was just great and that last scene was brilliant. Pure Numb3rs!
