This morning I was woken up by the wailing of a siren - the siren that we hear every first Wednesday of the month at noon [here, I mean] I actually thought it was noon... then my brain connected itself and reminded me that hi! Today wasn't even Wednesday anyway! I could also swear I heard it after I was awake. Except the siren never wailed. Oi. Call me Sam Tyler!

Yes, that was my LoM reference of the day ;-) Know what? It's just hard being in love with a show that only has eight episodes per season. Of course, it might be one of the reasons why the intensity and brilliance of aforementioned show is kept intact throughout the series. Still, I'm in withdrawal. I do watch my episodes each night and I love every second of it, even though I've watched them a million times by now, but I'm itching for something new.

Oh hey, on the matter of new things? My new icon slots are here: so I now have 111 of them, yay! It really was just a matter of patience, after all :-) I won't reach the limit, but I can have a little fun all the same *bounces*

I'm kinda excited today cause I see Monday approaching fast and what does it mean? It means that Prison Break is almost there! As a matter of fact, I think I'll do a little marathon this weekend when I have time so that I'm 100% ready to get back to Fox River again. Dude, I'm so counting the days! And of course there's new Hustle tomorrow and, me, as long as I have stuff to download, I'm a happy fangirl, you know?

Hope you're having a good Thursday, people. For me, today is like Friday - hail to student strikes that, though incredibly annoying, can still give you time off when you were really tired and only wanted to go home and snuggle in bed, watching Sam and Gene do their things :-)

As a matter of interest, why's there a siren on the first Wed of the month at noon?

In case something happened that could threaten the population, the Ministry of Interior has created a whole network using sirens to warn said population. It's the same sirens that alerted people from an imminent bombing during WWII.

If something happens, the siren will ring three times for a whole minute every five seconds in a modulated rhythm. This is supposed to be your cue to do... whatever you should be doing.

To make sure the siren will work in case they are needed, every first Wednesday of the month at noon - and why this particular date and hour were chosen, I have no idea - they ring. They can't be rusty that way :-) And in those cases, they ring for a whole minute, twice...
