Next week is gonna be a busy week download-wise. Prison Break on Tuesday, Supernatural on Friday and Numb3rs plus Hustle on Saturday - heee my babies are back! *hugs them tight* It's like a family portrait, I have everyone at the same time!
Also dude, I've watched the promo and holy shit Numb3rs! Ohhh Charlie is apparently getting laid! I knew it was supposed to happen, but I didn't think it would be so soon. Mind you, it's just a preview so the final result might be different but from the look of it, he'll definitely get some action anyway.
I wonder whether I'll feel a great disturbance in the Force when the episode will air - I wonder if it'll be as if millions ofslashers voices suddenly cry out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. Ha! It'll be fun *eg*
I watched The Lakes - it's the kind of show I'd say isn't my cuppa tea and then bam! I suddenly start to be interested in the characters, anyway, and I end up riveted to my screen waiting to see whether Bernie will commit adultery with Father Matthew, and if Peter will find out, and what will happen after John did what he did, and if Lucy will get her revenge... I'm so easy, it's pathetic!
Then again, there's John Simm in that series, and that alone would have caught my attention, you know? He is love! I already knew, mind, but some things bear repeating *nods*
I also had fun watching the show because I recognised some familiar faces. Peter - Paul Copley - played Reg Cole in Life on Mars, which was fun enough but that's not even the best.
This is the best. So seeing Paul Copley in the same show as John Simm some ten years before LoM was already fun but then I saw this scene:

And I was like 'wow I know that bloke, I know hi - omg is that Chris?'

And then he spoke and there wasn't any doubt left. That was him!

Marshall Lancaster in the same show as John Simm, eeee! And wow, I really like Chris but I can't say the same of Jed. Far from it. Marshall Lancaster is quite the actor too *g*
British tv is so very incestuous - no wonder I love it so much lol
And this pic is just a random one, cause I love me some John Simm smile :-)

Date: 2006-03-24 11:59 pm (UTC)And I can't believe it either! 2007 really sounds like a lifetime away! It'll be worth the wait, I know that, but 2007? It's sheer torture!

Date: 2006-03-25 12:06 am (UTC)Yeah, I have no idea lol Which makes each episode so incredibly interesting!

Date: 2006-03-25 12:10 am (UTC)Ah such a bitchin' twist when that guy, Annie's friend, was talking to him in the cafe saying things like he was a doctor and using a special kind of therapy, and then Sam went up on the roof about to jump. Annie's telling him it was faked, Sam not believing then the "doctor" at the bottom of the building shouting "Bad joke!" -- couldn't believe that.

Date: 2006-03-25 12:12 am (UTC)The Neil thing was odd, yeah. And sometimes I also wonder at Gene's insistance that Sam 'wanted to be here'... so many questions!

Date: 2006-03-25 12:15 am (UTC)And constantly threatening to send him back, then never actually following through, Gene so loves Sam really :D

Date: 2006-03-25 12:21 am (UTC)Gene/Sam is a sight to behold *loves*

Date: 2006-03-25 12:34 am (UTC)Hmm...something tells me the bbc would never actually go for that though :P

Date: 2006-03-25 12:42 am (UTC)And I guess they wouldn't lol Though the subtext is pretty enough - and hey, the writers themselves know it. I mean, did you read what Ashley Pharoah had to say about series two? They know how to play us lol

Date: 2006-03-25 12:44 am (UTC)Maybe if it moved to ITV lol. Ohh no I haven't seen what Pharoah said

Date: 2006-03-25 12:47 am (UTC)Q: Can you give us any hints at what might happen to Sam and the Gene Genie in series two of Life on Mars?
A: If I knew I would! We're only just starting the writing period now. Suffice to say there will be lots of homo-erotic bonding in grim Manchester pubs.
Brilliant, isn't it? *eg*

Date: 2006-03-24 11:52 pm (UTC)I'm really not all that OTPish with that particular fandom, so any character stuff works just fine with me. As long as the chick isn't annoying.

Date: 2006-03-25 12:01 am (UTC)And I can't say I have a problem with it either - the fics are there to satisfy needs that might not be met via the show, so it's all right with me. Like you, I just hope the bird won't be annoying. I'm still traumatised by how bloody ANNOYING and awful the lawyer girl was *shudder*

Date: 2006-03-25 08:44 am (UTC)So, um, how bad is it that my first reaction to that was "No way, they're gonna show Charlie and Don fucking?!" *headdesk* I think I need to spend more time in the real world.
But hey, if Charlie really does get some, that's gotta bring out a gazillion fics of jealous!Don and their reconciliation and that can only be a good thing. *g*
Also, when you fall for an actor, you sure fall hard, huh? :p

Date: 2006-03-25 11:15 am (UTC)Heee jealous!Don! I hope it will, jealous&possessive!Don is soooo good *glassy eyes*
Well, I rarely fall for an actor, I have to say, much less in tv shows but when it does happen, yes, it's kinda impressive lol

Date: 2006-03-27 11:14 pm (UTC)And The Lakes isn't supposed to my cup of tea either, so I definitely know the feeling. It's not the kind of show I'd rec to a lot of people if you want to know lol
