Thanks to iscaris I was able to download an episode of Criminal Minds, namely 1x06 "LDSK". I've been curious about that show though I never got round to download it but I've read a pretty appealing description of that particular episode and when I saw the file up for grab, I thought it was just the right time to finally give it a try.

That's one hell of an interesting show and I love the way it's filmed. Profiling in itself is interesting enough but I also quite enjoyed the ensemble cast. My favourite would be Reid, I think, though I can't say his physical appearance is what attracted me. I think, in time, I could think he's pretty - not that it's mandatory, I know, thanks - but it would be more a case of, you know, when you love someone you usually find them attractive? It's like you're projecting your love for them and you make them pretty.

Anyway, I'm digressing. Reid is the kind of character I totally dig mentally so he'd be my #1 :-) I really liked Hotch too - he's so the alpha to Reid's beta, and the dynamic is nice. Morgan now, well he's gorgeous - maybe the hotter of the men, I'd say. He seemed cool as well - and I liked the way he interacted with Reid well enough. Like, he teases him but it's not mean-spirited.

Or say, that's what it looked like from where I was standing, considering it was the very first episode I'd seen. So everything I'm saying here is obviously influenced by my total ignorance of the dynamic between the characters and all - I don't know where they come from and stuff like that. But usually, you don't have that big a gap between episodes, so can I surmise that this is how the team interact with one another? As for the individuals, well, I'll discover them all when I'll watch the rest of the episodes.

Come to think of it, considering the vibes Hotch and Morgan send off - dude, do they actually have first names? I had problem getting all their names, actually. Hopefully I'm not mixing them up! - I'm curious to know how they hit off with Reid the first time they met. Or do we even see it? Do they ever mention it?

So anyway, I really like Gideon too. He reminded me a bit of Grissom, ie he's the kind of smart leader I utterly love. Though apparently, he's not even the leader as such. Yeah, I need to watch the previous eps lol

The women now - hee they're all so smart and competent, they're also sexy and I might be a bit in love :-) And I include Garcia, btw. I didn't see a lot of her - literally as she not only appeared for a short time only and I only saw her face - but it was love at first sight :-) Also, since I'm on the subject, do we see more of her? Both in term of time on screen and er, height of body... or something?

I'm almost afraid to ask when the show airs because if it's Thursday or Friday, I'm going to kill Clark with the downloads *pets Clark* Also, is still on the air? Is it on hiatus? Tell me more?

And hey, speaking of tv shows: LJ totally skewed my vision of their popularity. Like, from the activity of the SPN fandom on LJ? You'd almost think it's pretty popular, right? Same thing with SV. I mean, my flist has too many people into it and it seems so big and stuff - but in term of rating and number of viewers? They're sorta low. Or say lower.

Numb3rs and Prison Break are doing good though. You go, guys! Actually, when you look at the list, and if you strictly count the shows, ie if you take out reality shows, you'll find a lot of 'smart' shows in the top twenty... which seems to imply that smart wins over pretty, which is pretty cool, if you ask me *nods*

Dude, had you posted this yesterday I would have been able to add a CD of all the eps to the enveloppe I mailed for you, lol. That said, if you're interested I can still send you all the eps if you want. 18 so far, with number 19 airing next week. Not all eps are good but overall it's a good show. The characters are good, the writing is ok, the cinematography is sleek and agreeable... another good enjoyable detective show. :-)

Also, I am so utterly in love with Garcia. She's not one of the characters we get to see the most but heeee! <333 Garcia and Reid are my faves. Reid comes first because he's got obviously more screen time and importance. Also, I think you got the dynamics right. Though Gideon is not in fact the leader. He is a strong referential figure but he has less of a leadership quality to him than their real boss does. :-)

As for when it airs, it airs on Wednesdays. And if you'd like me to send you the eps I already have, I can, just ask, ok? :-)

The same is true of Firefly. If I went by my flist and the general online community I putter around in, it'd be one of the most popular and beloved shows of all time. But in reality, its ratings were very, very low in comparison. That sort of thing just goes to show you.

Reid is adorable. I loved him from the star too. He's one of those characters that appeals to the geek side of each of us and is immediately endearing because he's too young to do the stuff they do and because he does his job so *well* we also respect him not just as a cute face. (By the way, the actor who plays Reid, Matthew Gray Gubler, was a model before this and did the catwalk routine for some big names like Louis Vuitton.)

Aaron Hotchner and Derek Morgan. Their names are revealed along the way. Morgan is very likeable for a supporting character and Hotch and Gideon are extremely compelling main characters especially when parts of their history/backstory are revealed along the way. And the whole series is totally slashy.

I'm glad someone is sending you all the eps. Enjoy catching up!!

I'm not surprised the actor who plays Reid used to be a model, but he's the kind of model I never found attractive per se. Or maybe it's the hair - I'm kinda obsessed with hair, if it's not to my taste, everything else doesn't work *is crazy*

Anyway, it's beside the point lol The point is, he's a great character and I can't wait to see more of him :-)

Gideon & Reid actually seem to interact more than Hotch & Reid, IMO.. but maybe that's just me. <3 Reid.

And yes, you do get to see Garcia's body & stuff. XD I don't quite remember why-- Gideon sends her flowers or something.

It's usually more Gideon & Reid? In the episode I watched, it was more Hotch & Reid but yeah, one episode out of eighteen? Isn't a lot, is it? lol I'm quite impatient to catch up and, like, finally see the big picture :-)

LOL, it took me forever to remember the names of all the characters. And I think I still forget the name of blonde chick. For the longest time I didn't know anybody except Gideon and Elle (who I always used to call "L" because I thought that was cute). But I didn't mind, because I still had a strong mind picture of all the characters, even if I didn't remember their names.

Oh, so one of the women's name is Elle? I didn't even catch that lol Also, I have a problem with that name, I mean, in French it's a pronoun, so each time I see 'Elle', I see 'she' in my mind, tis a bit weird... Oh whatever lol

spn is doing extremely good in australia. considering it's shown at a reasonable time and we're not that far behind. ditto for numb3rs and prison break. stargate though? AHAHAAH. shown at midnight, interrupted for years, etc. ditto for smallville although it's back on now. they showed 3 seasons almost within 2 months i think, to "catch up".
