So I saw my godfather yesterday - remember when I said it would be alright when I would see him? Well, I was right. As it happens, I think he looks pretty good in his new baldy state ;-)

Also something funny - or, say, it amused me, at least: I was in my room minding my own business yesterday and suddenly there was this smell coming from downstairs, and see, it smelt like pot. I was like 'Dude, I cannot believe Godfather & Co are getting high' so I investigated and turned out my aunt was engaged in a little moxibustion session with him - twas an original sight.

Technically it did smell like herb, but it was mugwort, not, you know, pot. Still, the scent reminded me of coffee shops in Amsterdam! lol

Unrelated. I came home to find my Criminal Minds file downloaded and I've just watched it, yay! It's the first episode I'm seeing semi-live; nice *g*

Mexican Proverb: The house does not rest upon the ground, but upon a woman.

Dude, that has to be one of my favourite moments in the episode, when they translated the proverb. It rocked so much. In particular considering a) what happened in aforementioned episode and b) who was the one to say it first. I don't know, I just adored that proverb, or maybe I adored the context of it.

Something else I loved is how the Mexican crew was portrayed: ie smart and competent and helpful. I mean, so many times when you watch a cop show, they'll appear like macho pricks and nothing more. Here it was nothing like that, and it was quite nice to see. Sure, there was a major misunderstanding but, well, no one is perfect, right?

The body on the ground turning out to be the killer's as opposed to the targeted victim was a bit of a surprise, but what really surprised me was the fact that he had been killed by his former victims. I hadn't seen that one coming! And, as disturbing as it was, it was quite brilliant too. All those women suddenly overpowering the man who had abused them and turning the tables on him, all together... well yeah, disturbing, but pretty impressive, too. As was the decision not to charge them.

I was already picturing them all being charged because of the whole 'you can't make justice for yourself' thing and I was ready to feel all sad because omg that would have been so incredibly unfair - so when Mrs She's Worse in Spanish Than in English - sorry, I forgot her name - reassured us all, I might have cheered out loud. I also loved that moment for the look between her and Navarro - you could see how relieved he was - and, of course, the proverb.

As for the team... well, nothing outstanding happened so I don't have a lot to say. I still like the way they work together; how they all bring something to the profile. They're like the pieces of a puzzle, it's always interesting when everything comes together.

Hotch's character intrigues me. He seems so calm, almost reserved... like he's always intense and like each word counts. But that might just be because of the way he talks, his voice. I have to say it's quite a contrast compared to his role in Dharma and Greg :-)

No Criminal Minds in my mailbox today though. Maybe tomorrow *fingers crossed*

And speaking of tomorrow... hee Numb3rs on M6! Man, I'm so psyched about it. Even if the more I listen to the promo, the more I'm thinking I might have trouble reconciling the French voices and the characters. But, well, the trailer doesn't last long, so I'll see once I have the real thing.

It's just so cool: SPN tonight, and double dose of Numb3rs on Friday. So I'll get the English version on Sat' but whatever, it's the principle of the thing: Friday is now Numb3rs2 Day!

I'm glad things went okay seeing your godfather, baldy men always look good imo ;)

But I laughed so much about your pot story *g*

Seeing your PB icon reminded me of the show. I saw about three eps today, and omg! It's killing me! /random comment.

He does look good. He looks better than his body seems to be inside. I told him that he's not really sick, it's his body that is. He decided to keep that as his motto :-)

The pot story is still making me laugh. Traditional medecine is real cool and interesting, but sometimes, it just smells funny lol

I know! PB has that kind of effect on people lol The episode that aired on Monday in the US was LOVE! I wish you'd seen it because I'm sure there're lots of things you would have loved in it.

I actually had a cunning plan this week. On monday I did every bit of laundry in the house which left me with a towering ironing pile. So, plan was, a PB marathon while doing that. Hopefully not burning hole in clothes when I watched the eps *g*

Of course that hasn't happened as the couch is full of blankets and a sick kidlet. But one day I'll see them, very soon too, because man, you warned it took a few eps to be gripped by the show and you're so right.
