I spent the afternoon with tbf!Sandrine yesterday and my god, her tummy is all pregnanty! It was beautiful. Then this morning she called me because today they knew the sex of the baby - wait, the gender? Or whatever, today they were told whether it was a little girl or a little boy and heee! I'll be the godmother of a little boy *bounces* Man, I'm totally psyched about it. One of the potential names they chose for him is Axel, which is quite funny considering the name of his own godmother. Though nothing has been decided yet, so we'll see :-)
Unrelated now. The cafepress Special Hell section is LOVE; me wants omg! Or wait, me wants some of that too! *dies* That one made me laugh - this is totally you and me, flist! Well, the cest lovers among you, of course :-) Or hey, the rps lovers - just pick your poison lol Or don't, both are so much fun if you're into that kind of things ;-)
Speaking of SPN, so I thought it was moving to Mondays - please, don't ask me why I thought that, sometimes I make my own mind boggle - but it seems it's going to move to Thursdays? Well, I'm not happy with that cause, see, my week has been quite balanced as far as squeeing goes: SPN on Tuesday means SPN download on Wednesday, okay? But it also means that I get to squee and bounce in anticipation on Monday and Tuesday, then I bask in the SPN afterglow on Thursday. Then Friday comes and it's Numb3rs which means that I squee and bounce in anticipation right then - though technically it starts on Thursday already. Then it's Saturday when I download and watch it, followed with the whole basking in the afterglow thing on Sunday... only to start the cycle all over again when Monday comes. And I mean, that's just perfect as it is. So why would they want to change that, why? *cries*
And btw, I know "yo Mouse, what about sg s9?" Well, I'm having some troubles downloading the torrents so I need to find the episodes elsewhere. I joined a comm last night that might help, so we'll see...
Also, I'll do a new meme - because I think the timing is just pretty funny. So in one of my last posts I rambled about my fic writing habits and I finished the post mentioning the titles, which usually give me grief and lo! I found this meme here and there on my flist last night: Why Did You Name Your Fic THAT? So if you want to play, you can find my fics here.
I'll finish this with a rec. It's SPN, gen and it blew my mind, it's as simple at that. Aut Vincere Aut Mori by
mrscutedean is the first part of a mini-series revolving around John - though obviously his boys are also in the story - and, listen, it's so incredibly good that I wouldn't know where to start. I'm serious. It's heartbreaking and desperate and raw and filled with love too and I have so much LOVE for that story that I don't even have the words. If you love daddy!Winchester or if you're curious about his character, I'd advise you to give that fic a try, hopefully you won't regret it.

Date: 2006-02-22 03:19 pm (UTC)Heee yes, you picked the one I was hoping you would lol
Okay so actually, this is one of the titles that didn't give me grief at all ;-) I didn't agonise over it like I sometimes do. Thing is, I was thinking of picking that particular title from the moment I knew I would write the whole hooker!Blair story.
But okay where does it come from? It's from a song. A song from the soundtrack of Moulin Rouge, and it was sung by Satine - which fit so perfectly too.
The songs goes like this:
"I follow the night
Can't stand the light
When will I begin to live again
One day I'll fly away
Leave all this to yesterday
What more could your love do for me
When will love be through with me
Why live life from dream to dream
And dread the day when dreaming ends
One day I'll fly away
Leave all this to yesterday
Why live life from dream to dream
And dread the day when dreaming ends
One day I'll fly away
Fly fly away..."
And well, it just spoke to me. A lot. I thought it was bittersweet and sad but hopeful too and also, I was thinking of finding a title that reminded the reader of a certain darkness, here a concrete one as there is "Night" in the title.
It turns out that the whole series got called the "Night" series but that's kinda accidental. I didn't have a real title in mind and I kept referring to the "Night" series in reference to the title and, well, it stuck lol Mind you, now I can't imagine another title for it, anyway :-)
Thanks for playing *g*

Thanks again. Sometimes I'm not sure whether the English and the French terms are equivalent, if a words will have the exact same connotation and all, and this gender thing usually messes with my head, I admit *g*
