Oh boy, my medieval paleo exam was a disaster! Ouch and double ouch- really, but what I saw in my mailbox when I came back so made up for the fiasco!
Andrew was there! Well,
lerefuge's parcel with my brand new CD containing Damage, the episode of Angel S5 where Tom Lenk is a guest star *g* So yeah, Andrew was there!
Thank you thank you thank you- again and over again *g* It worked right away, btw. Just finished watching it.
Man, I'd forgotten how darker Angel was, compared to Buffy- pfew! I remember why I really liked Angel when it was airing after all. Dark is good, dark is our friend *nods*
Now, since I'm obsessed with voices, I have to at least mention it: love, love, love Angel's real voice, love Andrew's although I think I have a slight preference for his French's one, and don't like Spike's.
This said, Andrew, now. Ohhhhh it felt so good seeing him again! My boy was so awesome in that episode! He was both different and the same, and had a nice part in the episode. I was really not disappointed *g*
He was different because, well first he just didn't *look* the same; he had curly hair --sorta hobbit like *g*-- and he was wearing a suit, and definitely more important, different because he's now a Watcher, and is obviously considered as someone to be trusted since *he* was the one sent to Angel to help the team. And he gained some nice self-confidence, too, but at the same time he was still the same Andrew I loved from Buffy, he was still his emotional, fidgety, geeky, adorable self. And *that* was important, because, well *that*'s what makes Andrew, Andrew, you know?
At the very end of the episode, during the little Andrew-Angel confrontation, I literally cheered out loud. Man, the scene was *so* brilliant! Wow. The boy can stand up for himself all right, and he looked so good, with his serious and determined look. Woohoo- way to go, Andrew!

Date: 2004-03-22 02:06 pm (UTC)It was really a good ep, and yes, Angel is darker than Buffy, which is why it makes such a good and adult show ;)
There was *definite* LOTR reference in there, especially when Andrew saw Spike for the first time... didn't he call him by one of the character's name? I just love that scene, it's hilarious.

Date: 2004-03-22 10:49 pm (UTC)And at this point, it wasn't just a 'reference', really lol Andrew calls Spike 'Gandalf', and he makes a whol speech about his resurrection after everyone thought he was dead after the Balrog 'incident'. And I love how he finishes his little speech by He's alive, Frodo, he's alive. Andrew is the ultimate geek! lol
