First things first:

,

!
I don't need to tell you how much I love you, right? You started as the friend of a friend and then became one of my own friends and I just love how that happens sometimes :-) I can't wait to see you again IRL *kisses*
Onto something different. Prison Break was watched last night.
What the fuck, man, Bellick finding the hole wasn't planned at all? Michael truly got screwed by Tweener, of all people? Talk about a disappointment. It's just - okay, I don't think Michael is the end all be all of brilliant plansexcept that he totally is I know he can make mistakes, I'm not trying to make him more than he is, it's just that, somehow, I can't believe that Michael didn't see that one coming, I just can't. Any other mistakes, any other miscalculations would work for me but that one doesn't and it annoys the hell out of me. Please tell me he'll get his revenge? He keeps giving Tweener the Look of Doom, it has to lead somewhere, doesn't it?
Though wait... Tweener knows they're all leaving that night, he has the peroxide to change the colour of his uniform... what about the scent now? We saw the others work on it, but not Tweener, did we? So is he supposed to be sacrificed or something? I'm not sure we saw C-Note masking his scent either but since he was there during the conversation, it stands to reason that he still did it, even though we didn't see it.
Yeah anyway, the whole Tweener thing is an enigma to me. And it's sad that I want the guy to be left behind or something because he certainly doesn't deserve what's happening but... he's a hindrance, he can ruin everything andwe our guys already have enough on our their plate without him adding any new shit so, sorry man, but you need to go.
I loved the tone of the episode... I mean, there's the tension, of course, made even more intense since the time is here and we're supposed to reach the climax soon but it wasn't even just that, there was something more, it was the mood of the episode - and for instance, I loved the little montage when the guys get ready for the escape and we see their motivations, we see what they're all focused on. The music, the flashbacks - that moment was brilliant.
Speaking of moments that I love, the brother scene was great too - Michael being his obsessive self, Linc trying to reach him and then - and Linc, I bow to you here - asking Michael to go without him, to leave him behind. No, not even asking but telling him - which as lines go, I adored, btw. I enjoyed that scene.
But you know, if I were Michael, leaving Lincoln behind would kill me on so many levels. First because obviously if Michael leaves without him, and considering the things Michael knows, it means that he'll leave Lincoln to die, which obviously isn't tolerable, and second because after everything he went through, leaving Lincoln behind would almost negate all his sacrifices - it would mean that everything he did, all the pain he went through, both mental and physical, all the people he might have betrayed, all the shitty things he saw, just about everything was for nothing and seriously if I were Michael? That would drive me mad.
At the beginning of the show, I thought that even if everything failed, then Michael could at least tell himself he tried everything he could to save Lincoln and that, maybe, it would help him a little, but now I just think it would be bad no matter what.
But okay we're not there yet. We're still inside Fox River walls atm so let's concentrate on that. Let's worry about Abruzzi and his wee plane that only has three seats - omg THREE seats - and about Nick and about Lincoln still chained to the wall and about the lock that has been locked - though I still think it sucks that a bloody lock appears so essential when I actually know some guys who could pick it up with their eyes closed but whatever, we're supposed to bite our nails about that as well, so be it. Let's worry about poor Westmoreland who's bleeding all over the place omg and about Tweener's role in the whole escape and let's worry about Michael who just pulled a shank to Pope. Argh!
*takes a deep breath* I'm fine, I'm relaxed, it's all right. Two more episodes to go and then we'll have a closure of sorts. Maybe. Until season 2?
Lastly, today was a fun Mail Day. First, I received The Hell You Say by Josh Lanyon, third book in the Adrien English series, which made me squee a little for that series is delightful and too sweet for words. The second thing - I need to explain the context. So. La famiglia di Mouse share their last name with a pretty famous French author and former politician. When I introduce myself - first and last name, that is - I sometimes have people ask me whether Author and I are related. Which we are not, btw. Anyway, today we received a letter addressed to the guy! lol And okay, maybe it's a HUGE coincidence and it's actually addressed to someone with the same first name and the same last name but still, that was pretty funny.

Date: 2006-05-03 04:10 pm (UTC)I'm with Tai, were you not tempted to open the letter?
And because I'm the queen of unrelated comments in your journal lately. Blue Peter is on tv just now and they're making a tardis. I just caught myself looking and actually thinking about it for a moment.

Date: 2006-05-03 06:07 pm (UTC)Linc, I bow to you here - asking Michael to go without him, to leave him behind.
Lincoln earned so many brownie points with that. It doesn't matter that Michael would never actually do it, it was the thought that counts and I really, really love Linc right now.
At the beginning of the show, I thought that even if everything failed, then Michael could at least tell himself he tried everything he could to save Lincoln and that, maybe, it would help him a little, but now I just think it would be bad no matter what.
Agreed. Christ this show is gonna kill me, isn't it?
Anyway, today we received a letter addressed to the guy!
That? Is totally awesome. *g*
