Can't staaaaaaaaand it any more!!!!!!
Aug. 11th, 2003 02:19 pmDid you know that it rained last night? No, I'm not kidding, it rained. The Esu and I couldn't believe our eyes! Now, the interesting question is, did it cool the air while it was raining?
No.
Did it cool the air afterward?
No.
So, what was the damn result of the rain?
Well, apparently it made the air even hotter! Today is even worse than the past few days, and believe me, the past few days were awful! I don't really watch weather reports these days, because I'm developing a phobia toward them --I just can't bear the thought of hearing them talk about a new heat record-- but I did at noon, and they said there were going to be some violent storms in Ile-de-France --where I live-- this afternoon.
Oh Yeah??? Where are those fucking storms, then?! It's around 52°C today!!!!! 52°!!!
The heat is bringing real problems of course, I heard that the number of old people dying had doubled in the past couple of weeks. In the past four days, an unoffocial report talks about 50 death because of the heat in Ile-de-France. I won't talk bout the funeral parlors because I don't want to scare people, but they're overcrowded as well... The nuclear plants (word?) are overheated, and are pouring too hot water in the rivers... I mean, this is getting ridiculous and dangerous. They're speaking of new energy restrictions. Hey, don't touch at my TV and internet quota, man, and don't prevent us from using --cold-- water as much as we need to!
Actually, Henry and I have a theory: The End of the World is coming!
