Of this and that
Oct. 28th, 2003 11:54 amMy mailbox has been a nice friend yesterday! It brought me two *great* mails! *schnuzzles mailbox*
First, I sent a new mail to Bobbie yesterday morning, not really believing it would go through this time either, but needing to try again anyway, and she received it!! Hurray! Bobbie is now officially back! *schnuzzles Beloved Beta* She never received my previous mails, as I knew, but she never got my Messenger's mail either. Weird. Anyway, now that she's back, I'm definitely a happy camper *g*
Second, I received a mail from Pepe --since we have the same tastes as far as dark stories are concerned, we mailed each other several times in the past months, usually concerning some of our own stories-- and hear this, coming from out nowhere, just like this, the girl offered to copy SG S7 for me!! I mean... how wonderful people on-line can be, I'm asking you?! When I read her mail for the first time, I just blinked owlishly at it for a few seconds, my brain had some difficulty assimilating the concept! lol She already has four episodes so far, and afterward she's willing to copy the whole thing. She'd also be willing to lend me the Lowdown! *bouncing* Color me surprised, but color me totally in love with the woman!!
I think I should start to build an altar and worship it in all my benefactors' names, namely
turps33,
katikat,
alinewrites, and now Pepe... It's Christmas before Christmas, I'm telling you!!
*takes deep breath* Okay, okay, let's try to pull ourselves together...
On another note- since the TS fic I wrote a couple of days ago won't do for
sentinel_thurs being too long and all that, I suddenly had an idea yesterday... I might try to write a sorta prequel to the thing. And this time I'd force myself to stick to the damn limit! *determined look* It's just that I had this scene popping into my head yesterday morning, and... you know how you're able to tell if an idea could make a story or not? Well, I just know this idea is one of them. I need to try and do something with it, now. I'll try today.
Now, before leaving and on a totally unrelated note. Yesterday I spent the end of the afternoon and the whole evening with Sandra --she shared her cold with me btw-- and when we came home we watched some telly. Well, it was "Joséphine Ange Gardien" a really sweet/sappy and not-serious French show, and I had the surprise to see among the actors the guy who actually dubs Richard Burgi on TS (or any other show he played in). When I heard the actor talk for the first time, I squeed a little loudly but hey, I had a good reason to! It was just so weird! Each time he opened his mouth, I had RB's face appearing in front of me! lol And man... this actor looks nothing like RB believe me! It always makes me laugh, actually, this difference. You usually put a face to the voice, and of course, usually you just take the face of the character dubbed, and when you're suddenly facing the real actor who's doing the dubbing- well, let's just say youusually sometimes have one hell of a shock surprise *g* Anyway, I now have one more name in my Actors Who Dub my Favorite Characters List *g* Me happy. Hey, you should know by now that I'm obsessed with 'voices' lol
