Relaxing night - fiiiiiiiiinally, and some more Moonridge pics somewhere.

The concept is a tad difficult to grasp for my tired brain, but I'm actually all alone in the house for the first time in... I don't even remember? *blink* Wow.

It's just a temporary reprieve, la casa del Mouse will go back to its crazy and overcrowded B&B self on Monday - we'll go back to our crazy schedule and bad news and hospital visits by then, but in the meantime I gained some peace and quiet.

I worried I was going to waste this opportunity to do things I like though when I got this kick-ass headache which made me so sleepy around 9.00 pm only. Damn, that would have been one hell of an ironical moment - the first time I had some time alone in what literally felt like ages, I was going to sleep it away? Yeah, right!

Fortunately, the headache left me alone too, and I went back to my program.

So! I finally watched Hard Core Logo! Boy that was one hell of a movie, so very twisted. I knew I would like it, and I wasn't disappointed. Thanks again to oceana_ for sending me a copy *g* Then, I watched New Order - I felt the J/D love guys, and it was so good seeing the team in action again. Love me some S8 *happy sigh* And love me some blacktop!BDUs too for good measure. Thanks to lerefuge here for burning the episodes for me, that and the Lowdown I have yet to watch.

Huh yeah, I'd like to give a real review for both HCL and SG, but it's not happening right now, sorry - my brain is still complete mush, it feels like it's permanently foggy these days, know what I mean?

Anyway, as you can see, the first part of my evening was really sweet - everything looked normal again - no... well, no nothing as a matter of fact, which makes for a nice change.

Then I read some fics, all kinky in nature and that felt good too - XF for the most part, but also this really hot SG story, Marks, which hasn't been archived yet so no link right now. The kinky fangirl in me was happy to be awaken again *g*

Also, I messed around with sentinel_thurs's layout and since the results I got didn't please me at all, I decided to change it all altogether. I'm now waiting for Terri's opinion on its new look. We'll see if it becomes permanent *g*

Finally, some new Moonridge pics were posted at the French TS ML - they ended up being among my favourites, so I asked permission to link them here, permission I was granted - enjoy, I sure did *g*

Could GM and RB look better together? No, really, I'm asking - I think my favourite of those pics are the ones where RB has his arm around GM's shoulders - both men look too cute for words *g* And I won't ever tire of saying it but shorhaired!Garett is so one of my kinks! I never find him more gorgeous than when he has short hair *g*

Mambo Italiano / Justice League recs, people?

Well damn, my head is clearer today - less fogginess or mushiness. I knew I needed a night on my own to start the process of feeling better! Even the prospect of leaving for the hospital this afternoon doesn't make me so tired this time *g* With a good part of tomorrow alone in the house as well, I think I'll be able to start the new week more relaxed and rested - at least I'll have my battery recharged a bit before they're huh 'decharged' again? It'll be alright *determined look*

Hey before I forget. Remember the SG fic I mentioned in my last post? Well it's been archived apparently, so don't wait and go read Marks by Sffan.

Now, on a different note - Sandra called last night before I went to bed, and since I didn't want to end the day on a sad note, I decided to watch Mambo Italiano.

I was so inspired! This movie is hilarious, awfully cute and just brilliant *g* To be honest, it could have been funny just because of the accent. Yeah, it was in French Canadian - this accent is so special, you know? And no offense to the French Canadians on my flist btw, I don't know whether you find our own accent funny or terribly disgraceful. With accents, you never know, right? *g*

Yeah anyway, joke aside, the movie was even better than I hoped. The characters are all endearing and hilarious and the way the story is told is one I enjoy very much, it's lively and original. Something else that never ceases to amuse as well is that no matter how outrageous the clichés on Italians are, they always remind me of my own family - so I guess it's true than stereotypes have some truths hidden behind them lol

I didn't finish the movie yet, I fell asleep at 1.40 am (which is proof of how tired I've been these days, btw) but I absolutely adore what I saw, and there are those two scenes that I wanted to share because they made me laugh so much. Since they're in French, I don't think a lot of you will get to appreciate them, but whatever, I know I will anyway when reading them again lol

So the first scene is when Gino explains how confusing it got after he immigrated to Canada and realised they were a) more than one America and b) more than one Canada *giggles*

And this other scene when Gino and Maria explain to Lina that their sons are gay and a couple. But you know, when Italians learn that kind of thing, the problem isn't that their kids are 'gay' per se, the real problem is to know who is fucking who in the relationship, aka My Son Is The One Fucking Your Son Up The Ass Because My Son Is Da man debate.

*laughs again* Oh man, this movie is brilliant. And they have the drama acts down to a pat. Looks like I'm seeing my family interacting, I swear *g*

Finally, I'm watching Justice League right now, and I'd like to read some Superman/Batman and Green Lantern/Flash slash - I know I have several people on my flist who are into that fandom - I had some recs already in the past, but I'd like more, so... anyone? I'd go to the Slash Database Project archive but squidge is down atm...

I finished watching Mambo Italiano and that movie is the sweetest story ever! It made it to my Favourite Comedy List. It had some serious tone too, but the comedy prevailed and I laughed all the way through, which I definitely needed. When ( Just in case - spoilery content )

. And Gino, Maria and Anna? So made it to my Favourite Movie Characters List too! How more endearing can you get, seriously?

On a different note now, I remembered something from when I watched HCL. It's just a detail but it made me smile - did you know we can link HCL to TS and SG and XF? And vice versa obviously. It doesn't have anything to do with anything, but like I said, it amused me *g*
