Actually, I'm thinking of Angel fans of the Angel/Wesley persuasion. The last time I asked I didn't exactly get what I wished, but I'll try again because... well, because *g*

So. I'd like some Angel/Wes recs. See, I was supposed to go to the movies on Tuesday but when we arrived, there were no tickets left so we changed our plans... to the better if we consider that at the end of the day, I'd had some nice Starbucks fix - yes, I'm turning into a Starbucks slut, I'm afraid - and I'd treated myself with Angel S1 Part2 on DVD - even better yet, they messed up with the price tag and I got the box set for 30€ instead of 50€ - woohoo! The destiny of this box set was to belong to me, see? It was fate!

Yeah anyway, I started watching the first disc and I'm feeling the Angel/Wesley love more than ever, so I need some fics to go with it - and this is when the flist should come in handy. Well, maybe - we'll see. You have some recs? Send them my way, please pretty please? Though no need to mention TBQ, I have pretty much all of her work saved on my HD already, thanks *g* [Edit: Wait, I wouldn't be averse to Angel/Wesley/Spike either - I'm just sayin']

Oh and I saw this Writing meme popping up here and there on my flist and I realised I really missed talking about my fics - you should have seen the long and multi-detailed mails I sent [livejournal.com profile] turps33 back then - pfew! lol - so I joined the little bandwagon *g*

Here be the Year End Writing Meme )

And [livejournal.com profile] turps33? I couldn't help but think of you when I was doing it - I kept wondering what yours would look like... *blink* Wow - that sounds pervie put that way lol

I love it when fandom shows me that it's worth so much more than petty wanks and stupid flamewars - I'm referring to [livejournal.com profile] fandom_charity here. Not that I think people need any kind of incentive to donate money, in particular when tragedy strikes at such a scale like we saw this past week, but it's a positive side of fandom that really pleases me anyway. It also gives people who really can't give money a way to join in the effort - one will give time to write something and a recipient will give money in return to an organisation - nice joined effort, here, and it works, too *g*

On a different note now, can you imagine that tomorrow is New Year's Eve? Well, I can since some of the preparations started today already. We'll have the Clan coming over so we'll be thirty-ish. I know we'll spend a great and funny NY's Eve, but I'll be honest and say that I wish we just had a quiet night. I'm not used to 'big' celebrations for those festivities. When I was a kid, my dad would always work that night, so it would be just my mom, my sister and I. We did have a special night though, just nothing big: mom would prepare a yummy meal, she would ask us both what dessert we wanted and we would bake our respective favourite dessert together, then we would dress a beautiful table and have our dinner in our little company of three... finally we would watch those cheesy movies they always air at the time. When midnight came we'd watch the fireworks and watch some more movies and that was it. Nothing fancy but I loved it anyway. Another New Year I positively adored is the one I had with [livejournal.com profile] babycakesin last year, between just the two of us *g*

Yeah, anyway *g*

I was downloading some scanlations and listening to BBC radio on-line tonight [Murder on the Orient Express --how I love that story-- and The Archers, which I always enjoy no matter how lame I sound btw. And how cute is that that after staying away from The Archers for ages the first episode I listened to tonight had some sweet Ian/Adam moments?] and since I wasn't exactly doing anything at the time, I decided to do the Survey I saw popping up in my flist here and there.

And now, I come bearing a Survey - aka When People Like to Talk about Themselves )

Oh, I went out with Sandra today and she gave me my pressies - yay, Christmas isn't over!
