Jul. 25th, 2007 07:25 amI had to cave in; I started HP as of last tonight. I realised the risk of being spoiled were way too high when, upon entering Flo's office at work yesterday afternoon, I was almost spoiled for the ending. Flo? Doesn't give a damn about HP, she never read any of the books and has no intention of reading them. She still had to know about how it ended, though, so went to wikipedia and satisfied her curiosity. She wasn't looking at me when I came in and thought I was someone else and almost blurted it out to me. And I was like, 'okay, if even non!HP fans can spoil me now even though they're not supposed to know anything, then I'm not safe anywhere!'
So I've started the novel when I got home and, yeah, it is a total page turner.
I even chose HP over my brand new downloaded shows so that should tell you something! Because I do have a lot of things to watch; Profit is sitting on my HD as we speak as well as the pilot of Pushing Daisies and the first two episodes of Dexter s2. That's a lot of greatness waiting for me, let me tell you! Oh and I also have the pilot of the Reaper waiting somewhere, though I'm afraid the file was corrupted so I may have to download it again. Not that it's a problem, what with my shiny connection now *g*
I have my plate full fannish wise, don't I? :-) I also need to finish my Traveler fic - what do you know, they finally kissed yesterday! At this rate, they might even blow each other next month *rolls eyes*
And a little bit or RL irony now. So I have a not-so-sekrit admirer at work. As in a man. And tbf!Rissy? The very-straight-Rissy? Got hit on by a woman two days ago. Oh universe, why are you punishing me so? Is this because of all those straight thoughts I usually entertain towards Teh Ackles? I'm not straight, I swear! If anything I'm, I don't know, Acklesexual, that's completely different! So send the boys to Rissy and the girls to me, kthxbai!
And still on the subject of RL; I think I completely forgot to mention that I've signed my contract a couple of days ago, so it's official now, I won't become a citizen of Unemployment Land in September :-)
