Apr. 25th, 2011 10:21 pmFirst things first, a huge 'thank you' to those who took the time to fill out (and pimp) my SPN poll. I'll keep it open til next week, I think, and see if I can get some more answers. It's going to be interesting dissecting the results :-) Interesting and really helpful, thank you, really ♥
I had a lovely Easter weekend; it was spent en famille yesterday (with the parental unit, The Esu, a bunch of cousins) and in smaller company today as I was just with my parents (Cookie threw her back out yesterday, she took it easy at home), we did some shopping together and I got this psyche mirror, which I found both simple and stylish. It looks great in our bedroom, without taking too much room, it's kinda perfect :-)
This evening I've been quite fannish; a week ago or so, a comment made by
ma_aaaa made me think of my Night series (TS AU, Jim/Blair, for those not in the know). And because I had the AO3 archive tabbed, I decided to go and upload said series (ten parts, total, I'd actually forgotten the exact number *cough*) over there. Uploading the stories caused a certain craving for Jim/Blair. Honestly, I didn't even remember the last time I'd read a TS fic. I'm not sure 'ages' would be accurate, 'forever' sounded closer to the truth. Anyway, I went and read a bunch of fics. I'm pretty sure it won't come as a surprise to the still faithful TS fen out there but I'm having a lot of fun revisiting Cascade and the loft and following Jim and Blair (and the whole gang) again. I guess it was to be expected, though, you never really forget the love you have for your old fandoms, right? So I'm tabbing fics right and left and will read some more tonight.
Actually I must be in some kind of nostalgic mood because this morning I woke up with Simon's It's ok to leave them to die line from Serenity (I have no idea why!) and I feel like watching the film again. And, I suppose, the whole show? Too bad I'm going back to work tomorrow *sadface*
