Back from the Panic gig \o/ It was aweeesome! Not that I had any doubt but it's always so lovely when your expectations are met. And this is my most favourite band so I had high expectations - just couldn't help it :-)
I can't believe I saw Panic! At the Disco!!! One of my fannish dreams became reality tonight *sappy look*
Here's what I'm going to to do, I'm going to write a quick recap [ETA: turns out it wasn't such a 'quick' recap, after all ] with as many details as I remember right this minute, then I'll tell you when
greedy_dancer and
crazybutsound post their own recaps - and I know I'm a tease, but Jem's will include some fantastic photos! Because having your own photographer with you when you're attending shows is the best thing ever. Y/Y? We had our usual debriefing at McDonald after the show and Jem used the opportunity to show the many photos she'd taken (she had her laptop with her) and we kept squeeing over pretty much all of them. If you're into Panic, you're in for a treat :-)
Anyways! What I remember right this minute, without really trying to make sense of things... because I'm totally riding the post-gig high right now, you know how it is :-)
Brendon is an awesome frontman! Nothing new here, I know, but it's always different when you're actually part of the crowd and seeing it with your own eyes. He is awesome on stage. He has such energy! Seeing Spencer bang the shit out of his drums was quite the experience, too. And Ian and Dallon were awesome as well; they played against Brendon wonderfully! The three of them had some very nice moments on stage! It's always more difficult with Spencer, being at the back and on his little podium, you know? But they're just such a great band and they really do seem like they're having tremendous fun playing together. Oh and there Zack, too, which had his own moments, both just before the show began and during. ( But, ok, using the cut-tag, now. )
So, anyway, I had a fantastic time and I'm so happy I finally got to see them! Now, I only want one thing, to see them again asap! ♥ ♥
PS: it's 2.30AM and, as I said, I'm still riding the post-gig high so I hope I'm making sense with my recap lol *fingers crossed*
[ETA: Panic covering Kansas' Carry on my Wayward Son ♥]
