(no subject)
Oct. 19th, 2011 11:10 pmIs it time for new The Fades yet? No? Well it should! Tomorrow can't come soon enough. I'm hoping, since this is a British show, that we won't have to wait the usual +1 day for the download to come up. With some luck we'll be able to get it on the same night it airs #FingersCrossed
Something else I'd been waiting for was the release of the French XMFC DVD, which was today \o/ I maybe sent a text message to
french_hobbit in the morning wishing her a good XMFC DVD Day. Because some things are worth being celebrated, right? lol Cookie and I rushed to a FNAC near us after work and had a mini squee fest in front of the shelves where all those DVDs of awesomeness were displayed and then got our own copy ♥
Changing the subject. So Uni enrollment is on its way (I'll spare you the details but believe me, it's been epic. And completely ridiculous) and I've started having a look at what's in store for me and I think I'm going to have fun. For instance, in the long list of reading I'm supposed to do this semester for Seminar #1, there are little gems like Incest and Literary Imagination and Sexual Freedom in Restoration Literature and Sexuality and Gender in Early Modern Europe and many other interesting-sounding works. How glad am I that my thesis supervisor teaches a class about Libertines? Very glad :-)
There's also The Sign of Angelica; Women, Writing and Fiction, which I keep misreading as "Women, Writing and Fanfiction". For some reason :-p As I said, should be fun!
Oh, someone on my TL linked to this video of a dude connecting to Wikipedia using a *1964* antique modem and it was quite impressive to see, so I'm sharing. I know the geeks around here should appreciate it :-)
