Jun. 28th, 2019 03:16 pmI won't even try to pretend I had more than two main topics on my mind this week. Endeavour and the heatwave. The heatwave and Endeavour. Those two subjects have pretty much been the keywords of the past few days (ok, ok, as far as Endeavour is concerned, it has been more than for the past few days. Presumably).
The heatwave is still going strong today and it should be quite hot tomorrow again, apparently, but temperatures should go back to regular summer temperatures as of Sunday - between 27 and 30 which, thank you, Weather. That is more like it, indeed. What it means is that we French will stop ranting about the scorching heat soonand find other topics to rant about, I'm sure, for we are French and like to rant.
Something else that is still going strong, with no surprise, is my watching Endeavour. I've reached series 6! I've now been officially introduced to the infamous (at least on twitter and the likes) morsetache ;) After seeing many stills of series 6 I thought it would be quite the ajustement but so far so good. Sure, I do miss babyfaced!Morse but I think this new feature tells us more about his state of mind and how beaten up he is at the moment, which I find quite interesting: how he doesn't look like himself because he doesn't feel like himself and also because you can hide behind a mustache somehow. Let's be honest, I would love it he shaved it off by the beginning of series 7 but, well. He's still the Endeavour I love so there is that - just angstier and even more lonely.My poor lad!
So anyway, I survived the heatwave. I'm still in love with Endeavour. All is well ;) Hope it's also the case for you, flist. Mind how you go ;)
