"Un" ou "une" fandom ?

We're only two weeks in the first season of Prodigal Son but I'm in so deep, you guys. My fannish life is set to Prodigal Son mode by default, basically. I was already quite taken with the premiere (also quite an understatement) but episode 2 aired and that's when the magic happened. I'm enjoying the ride to the fullest, as you do :) I'm more or less living in the dedicated hashtag over at Twitter and talking up a storm with every fan that is crazy enough to reply to me lol But I think, at this early stage, everyone is quite eager to find other fans and to share the new-found love.
I'm just consumed by love for the characters, in the most delicious way *__*. Ah, to fall for a new show and a new fandom *happy sigh* Plus, I love seeing the birth of one. In the span of a week, we went from 7 to 32 fic. How cool is that? It's taking off \o/ Fly, little fandom, fly! (Also, as per usual, I'm reminded of how it was Back Then, back when LJ was packed with reviews and recaps and piscpam... when it was filled with fannish activities and people being all over a show, before it even aired sometimes. Do you remember when we could find icons before the show premiered? Now we can't really find ones, period. Ah, sweet memories. I don't think I'll ever stop being nostalgic of that golden age...).
As it is, I have to track tweets (yesterday I also remembered to have a look at Tumblr so that's one more platform to use) but it's not the same, though it's something at least and I can satisfy the need to rave about the show with as many people as I can (including French viewers).
Oh, and funny story. Last year I watched Deception which was an ok-show at best but which I found really entertaining nonetheless. As you do, I regularly visited the # at Twitter to talk with other kindred spirits and met an American woman who had fallen for it. We talked and exchanged about the show and it was quite fun. The show was axed - no big surprise here, although still frustrating as it ended on a cliffhanger - and we went our separate ways. Fast-forward last week when I took up residence over at #ProdigalSon and who did I find raving about it? None other that M. It was like "hey! you're here, hi!" and we resumed our chat like we did last year.
Isn't it sweet? I love online life. I love fandom :)
