castalie: (Season - Christmassy Starbucks)
I had a trip away for work this week and it threw me off my game, I think I missed another posting week. Oops! Let's go back to "business", shall we?

Hello, flist and happy Advent Sunday to you (or Regular Sunday if you don't celebrate Christmas in any way, shape or form). We can officially get excited about Christmas, now \o/ (Although, as Terri and I discussed recently if decorating your house, watching Christmas movies or any other kind of festive activities bring you joy as soon as November strikes, then bring it on! Is it ever "too early" when something makes you happy? I think not).

I'm currently listening to one of my Christmas Classics playlists on Spotify and feeling pretty mellow. Just how I like it on a Sunday morning - especially on December :) We're planning on getting our tree sometime during the week so that we can decorate it next weekend as per usual but I'll admit we're tempted to accelerate the process as several family members already have put their trees up and decorated the house and it makes you want to do the same right away ;)

We've already checked one tradition off the "To do" list last week when we celebrated Frenchgiving (a tad early, I know, but schedules being what they are, it's sometimes difficult to keep with the regular calendar, especially as there were nine of us this time around). It was another successful and beautiful day, I can't get enough of our Frenchgiving (or Friendsgiving, there are many ways to define this wonderful time we spend together). E. always makes such a delicious meal, they're incredible! They basically handle the whole thing like a true chef (our contribution is really a tiny portion of the meal), it's quite impressive. We always leave with leftovers and new recipes to try ourselves.

Another Christmas tradition Cookie and I try to keep up with is a little visit to Disneyland Paris and that should be taken care of tomorrow! What better way to start the week than with a day off spent in a magic land all decked up for the season, right?

Oh, how I love this time of year ♥

PS: Let's not forget Tuesday night when we'll get to enjoy the new episode of Prodigal Son which is a "Christmas" episode and I couldn't be more excited! Except for the fact that it is, sadly, the mid-season hiatus, meaning we'll have to wait till January, 20th for the follow-up, but such is tv life!)
