Met up with [livejournal.com profile] moimoietmoi this afternoon and 'tried' a new Starbucks - the Saint-Lazare one [Paris] We didn't stay as it was a) rather small and b) packed but I did get my caramel macchiato fix, so it was all right. Then we headed off to Sam's place, where I had the best of time ;-)

I wasn't in the best of mood when I arrived though because of the two sorry excuses for a human being that were sitting next to me in the train. They were talking about how society encouraged vice and then Older Guy started on homosexuality and how it was a 'vice' that society seemed to encourage and how wrong it was to do so because homosexuality was a 'perversion'. He went as far as calling us degenerates. Younger Guy was laughing at this and finding it really funny. Man, it was disgusting! And it seriously freaked me out. I think it was how mundane it was, you know? Two friends - or acquaintances at least since Younger Guy was saying 'tu' to Old Guy - chatting up in the train...

Except instead of talking about work or the last film they'd seen, they were talking about their contempt for a certain part of the population.

Okay, changing the subject now - one shouldn't waste too much time talking about that kind of people.

I watched the new Kyle XY. Oh how I'm loving that series! It got me, hook line and sinker *nods*

Somehow, I thought that Kyle was less confident and more childlike in today's episode than he was in last week's and I really enjoyed that. I mean, he did 'grow up' and it shows - he's learning and changing and we see it and I'm okay with that, but I adore childlike!Kyle too much to want things to go too quickly. And he was really perfect there.

I love his eyes and I love his smile - he's always unbearably cute when he smiles like that. It's always a little unsure at first, as if he was surprised by those happy feelings he experienced - which is certainly the case - and then got to really let himself enjoy aforementioned feelings. So sweet!

The whole episode was so sweet what with him learning what being part of a team really means, and being the star of the team and all that. He was so proud of himself, wasn't he?

Just too cute for words.

And I still adore the Tragers, both individually and as a family. Loved the Stephen-Josh convo after Josh's outburst.

I'm also really liking both Declan and Charlie - the latter makes it almost impossible to hate him, even though I should want to see him gone, what with him being Kyle's rival and all that. But he's so nice with Kyle and he seems to really love Amanda and just - yeah, I can't even dislike him *sigh*

The ending now. Oh the plot thickens once more! Kyle remembers seeing Krycek Tom killing the professor! Argh, I can't believe I'll miss the next two episodes, but at the same time, I'll download them both at once and will watch them back to back, so it might not be so bad :-)

And a little moment that cracked me up - it's all in the way Matt Dallas/Kyle delivers it:

Coach: One game, one moment in time to prove that we are the best and WE ARE THE BEST! We haven't beaten the Lancers in two years, TWO YEARS.
Kyle: I had no idea why Coach was shouting or why he kept saying things twice.
Coach: My grandma plays better defense than them, MY GRANDMA!
Kyle: *genuinely impressed* Too bad she's not playing.

Also? Now I'm dying to read some Declan/Kyle/Charlie. No, for reals.

Then it was The 4400's turn. So let's start with the ending and the lovely twist; as it happens, I was spoiled by someone on my flist about Jordan's return so it wasn't the surprise it should have been, but still, JORDAN! Jordan is back!

Finally! And dude, best timing ever! Right before the wedding, uh? Well, of course, you couldn't let your boyfriend marry another, even in your amnesiac state, ha! *loves* So it was awesome; I've been waiting for this moment since the beginning of s3 so yes!

And another yes for Gunn as a guest star. Hello Gunn! Long time no see.

As for Shawn's visions, they were freaky, all right. And intense. The second one in particular. Things are so incredibly messed up *sigh* Can't wait for the next episodes - though here again, I'll have to wait. Man, Catching up with my shows will rock!

You'll be so proud of me! I'm going to a Starbucks for the first time (in the States that is, I went to one in Saarbrucken, Germany) next Thursday to meet a former French professor of mine. He's really the man who got me interested in the French language.

And shame on those silly people for making you feel awkward. I just don't understand people sometimes...

Hee you'll go to your first US Starbucks? I'll think of you lol

It's stupid thinking those people aren't everywhere, but it's always a shock when I get to really face them, anyway, you know?

I am so sorry you had to listen to them, but I'm even more sorry that people like that even exist. I was raised in such an open-minded home, it always shocks and saddens me when I meet people like that. Why do people insist on hating things/people/lifestyles that are different to their own? *sigh*

Lol, that part was pure comedy gold.

And The 4400, I'm in sort of a weird funk about it. I haven't watched the past three (I think) episodes (I have all of them downloaded, I just can't watch them). I hate it when something like that happens, but it does have a good side. It means that when I finally do want to watch them, I'll have a lot of them and that's always good.

I guess I shouldn't be surprised to be sitting next to stupid people as they're everywhere but it was so violent in a way - I mean, it was only words but such a disgusting vocabulary, they really were into it...

Kyle has the best inner monologues ever! I love him so *happy sigh*

Some people suck. To sit there and spew out stuff like that? So fucking annoying.

On a lighter note. I was so amused at your Starbucks comment, from not visiting them at all to grading one as too small and crowded. That's a steep curve *g*

Some people suck, all right. Though I'm sure those two 'phobes would die if they heard that kind of thing, imagine the connotation? *gags*

Hey, I've fallen in love with Starbucks even before France finally adopted them *sticks tongue* Can't help it if sometimes they're just too small *g*
