Pimpity pimp.
Aug. 30th, 2006 09:43 pmYes! I've finally watched the season finale of Kyle XY in its entirety and those last minutes were so worth the pain! Adam! So okay it was clear from the way the guy in the church just appeared out of nowhere that he would be someone of importance in the future - or I hoped he would be, but the fact that it turns out to be Adam was absolutely brilliant. I did think his character would be just a sort of an urban legend; we'd hear about him all the time but never actually see him. So that was really nice - and I'm quite impressed at the resemblance between the two actors; they really look alike.
I was thrilled to see that Tom was still alive and kicking though I never really had any doubt: the guy was Krycek before, and Alex wouldn't have let a little bullet in his gut kill him, man. Not him! But seriously I'm glad because I love The Foss. I loved the ambiguity before and I loved the development, that was interesting and exciting :-)
I was relieved to see that they hadn't pulled a John Doe on us and no one betrayed anyone else; I was starting to fret about Declan at one point, don't ask me why! Though I think... sometimes the actors plays a bit too woodenly for me and he comes out as threatening and stuff. And, hey, I like the guy well enough - I'm also into Declan/Kyle so, you know, I'm glad nothing bad happened.
I felt so bad for Kyle and the Tragers! I positively loved how Steven reacted - how emotional he was and how much it was hurting him. He's been a wonderful foster father all along and it was great to see a male character being emotionally involved like that and not just the mother and the kids, you know? Same thing with Josh and all. I just love the Tragers, anyway, always have.
I'm not so sure about the XX being now - I don't like changes that much, and new characters always worry me a bit. They might change the original character dynamics too much and I'm not always for that. Though, obviously, there are exceptions and sometimes it makes the story even more interesting... anyway, we'll see...
I'm so gonna miss that series! When is it supposed to come back?
And then it was Prison Break. Oh man, getting a new season always feels a little bit like coming home to me, and PB was no exception.
Okay first, wow, they killed Veronica! I thought they wouldn't have the guts to kill off one of those characters, or not so soon, at any rate, but they did it. I can't even say I'll regret her because, truth be told, I used to forward her scenes and whatshisname's in the first season so that I could get back to Mike and The Not So Merry Gang, so that's one less forwarding, you know? *cough*
Also, as much as I love the whole gang - PB is one of those series where I love pretty much all the characters - I also have to say that I couldn't wait for Michael and Lincoln to separate from the guys so that I could have the siblings alone together. So when they finally said goodbye - as temporary as it'll be in the end, I guess - I was all excited. Too bad it had to end like that, with Lincoln hurt, but it only makes it more interesting because if things suddenly went well in Prison Break, I would feel lost and cheated, right? :-)
Also OH! I positively love the new character - which is funny considering what I said in my Kyle XY review but at the same time, I did mention there were exceptions, so it's all good. Mahone is fantastic! He's smart and composed and aloof and Michael is finally going to have someone worthy of his intellect. No offense to the others. And also, sorry Michael, cause this one is gonna make it difficult for you. But oh it's going to be a joy to see!
I just love the intensity; the way Mahone immediately zeroed in on Michael, the way he keeps profiling him. I'm in love with the Mahone-Michael dynamics and I'm dying to see more face to face between the two of them now. The scene in the lift was pure gold as far as I'm concerned; did you see the way Mahone looked at Michael? *loves*
[ETA: I love the internets!
wallporn - and look at that first post! *loves* ]
So that was great! Can't wait for the next episode *bounces*
Okay and now... I need to catch up with Stargate and The 4400 and Eureka and Psych. Oh and Night Head Genesis too! Nights aren't long enough, let me tell you that.
Completely unrelated now; so I've seen people asking for some J3 recs in the past two days and to think that everyone might not have already sampled that pairing hurts me, so here are four lovely recs: On the Wall and Pass it Around by

Date: 2006-08-30 08:05 pm (UTC)There's too much intensity between them not to notice, seriously. I hope we'll have lots of intelectual judo! Not to notice the eyefucks :)
And Mahone is the proof that a brain can be sexy & hot.
(PS : And there's a newly born community for them already!

Date: 2006-08-30 08:32 pm (UTC)I know the feeling - I was into it before Mahone saw Michael too. The fascination mixed with respect he had for Michael was obvious :)
I didn't expect Michael to react that well but the way he fixed Mahone at the cemetery had me falling for good! It's so *obvious* that they want to be inside each other's mind
and not only the mind.Brrrr, this pairing had already me shivering with joy at the end of episode 1. With one scene... Lol, we are so easy! :D
Now I can only imagine how frustrated T-Bag will be when he'll discover that his Pretty's heart has been stolen by some hot clever guy... *grins*

Date: 2006-08-31 09:00 pm (UTC)Um, yeah, I finally watched it and ZOMG I LOVE THIS SHOW SO MUCH! And Foss, christ I love Foss.

Yes. That's what I'm worried about. But it's not gonna happen here, right? Right. *has faith*
You know, I think I'm gonna go and re-watch my favourite parts of the season now.
As for PB, I'm still deciding if I'm gonna watch it or not. I've already got quite a full plate and I think I kinda lost my love during the break...although I'll probably just end up downloading all of the episodes I'm missing at one point or another. *g*
Oh, and here's something random but kinda awesome. I turned on the TV just now, to see if anything interesting was on and there was the first ep of Hustle! Sometimes, I forget how good that thing is. ♥

Date: 2006-09-01 09:34 am (UTC)Re PB, I have to say that the new character they introduced is really interesting and his intellectual obsession with Michael is already giving me the shivers! Can't wait for the rest of the season!
I love random when it's about Hustle *g*
