I am Dexter.
So. How many of you guys are watching Dexter? Because that show is fantastic and there should be more of you. I succeeded in dragging Kaja, GD and Sam to the dark side but if more of you could join us, it would be brilliant :-) Unless you're squeamish and don't particularly like ambiguous main characters because, in that case, er yeah, better stay away from the show *nods* I know I can't get enough of it. I even bought the second novel and I'm waiting for the first one. I'm curious to see the differences between the books and the series.
"Let's Give The Boy a Hand" has to be my favourite episode to date. I adored seeing Dexter crack a little bit. He looked so lost and puzzled and confused. It was a funny game before and suddenly it wasn't so funny anymore - or not so easy and it was a joy to see. Ice Truck Killer is proving to be a very interesting character, even though we've never seen him or heard him or, well, anything really.
Dexter's monologues are still fascinating... each time he speaks about the mask he has to wear to blend in with us 'normal' human beings, it gives me goosebumps. Same thing with the pictures; at first glance they look like those of a happy family, of a cute little boy/teen/man. Except you know the boy's smile was always fake and he only did it because it's the thing to do and he had to learn how to do it. Chilling, really. Incidentally, I think little!Dexter is way creepier than teen!Dexter.
I cheered at Dexter when he refused to kill Tucci and it made me smile at myself because here I was, all proud that Dexter hadn't given in, like, 'oh look, he didn't kill the guy, how cute!'
I also find Harry fascinating, if a bit creepy himself. I mean, it's not everyone who would decide that a serial killer in the making is good kid material. It's quite impressive to see him not give up on Dexter and mold him to be the kind of person would kill yes, but only other monsters. But he loves his boy and it's great to see. Just, creepy, but that's Dexter for you.
I'm digging Rita/Dexter more and more each time, man. This is my brand new ship. They're adorable together and Rita is healing and finding that sex can be enjoyable again and she's learning to have control again and to go with the flow and it's great. When she opened the coat and she showed off her Lara Croft costume she looked so sweet! Nervous about the whole thing but excited that she was doing this for Dexter - for them - and it was just - oh I loved that scene! And Dexter's reaction to the blowjob was pretty priceless too *g*
As for the other characters, I really love them all. Poor Angel, it was really sad. Now though I don't know what he did, so I don't know whether the 'punishment' fits the crime but it was still sad. Especially as the whole present thing was pretty funny at first. I'm really loving Deb too. As well as Doakes and Laguerta, though in a different way. I loved that we saw another aspect of Laguerta in that episode; she doesn't have an easy job and she does make mistake and she can be a bitch but she has so many responsibilities and pressure and it has to be tough.
Unrelated now, I might have written 1700+ words of Mohinder/Peter last night. I was so excited about it that I could have burst :-) Thing is, I have to wait foryesterday today's episode to see whether I can finish it because I wrote the story in light of Something that happened in "Collision" and depending on what we'll see with the new ep, I might have to change some stuff, or, heaven forbid, rewrite the whole thing. Except if it comes to that, I might just declare my fic to be 150% AU and be done with it. We'll see. And important thing, I wrote again! So it's of the good. Just - if I could finish the story without rewriting it all? It would be swell, thanks *fingers crossed* Incidentally, omg I can't wait for the new Heroes! And sad thing is I might have to wait because I have two cousins coming over tonight and, of course, one of them will have to sleep in Clark's room and if the download isn't over before he wants to go to bed I'll have to stop it and switch Clark off and it'll mean I'll have to wait til tomorrow after work instead of tonight *dies*
PS: If I needed another beta, say for Numb3rs - incest - and/or Heroes, would one of you be willing to help? I need people who're tough on the grammar thing and who can make my English look/sound like one a native speaker would, well, speak.

This episode was excellent, but of course it was written by Drew Z.Greenberg, the man who gave us "Safe". I worship him.

Christmas early is right; Julie Benz is awesome in that role. Well, she was already awesome in both Angel and SPN, admittedly, but yeah I'm loving her even more here :-)

Since you're doing Mohinder/Peter... can you explain to me what you see as Peter's draw? D:; I've found him to be the Hero I least like, which is really hella weird.

And dude, I can't ever really explain why I love a character; I just do, you know? Peter is the kind of character that attracts me; I guess I love those characters whose strength isn't that obvious, the ones who appear gentle and show a lot of mental strength and courage. I'm also usually always attracted to the younger partner/sibling. One of my kinks, I guess? lol But I just love Peter and his vulnerability, his insecurities, his strenght, his courage, his littlebrotherness too... I guess I love the whole package :-)
