(no subject)

Oh guys I'm having the most relaxing day I've had in ages! So yesterday I decided to take today off - don't know if I've mentioned it but I'm quite tired these days? Oh yeah, a million times already. Well yesterday I thought that I didn't want to go to work today. So a day off it was. I picked today for two reasons a) I don't have classes on tuesdays so I really don't have to go out at all if I don't want to and b) noone is at home today so I'm all ALONE in the house and just - man, it's heaven.

So far I *counts on fingers* woke up at 9.30, sat in front of Clark free and happy and cruised the flist, watched the new Dexter, took a looong soak and finally caught up with the last Supernatural. After writing this I'll watch the last two episodes of Brothers & Sisters and when the download will be over I'll watch the new Heroes

All of this? Is making the Mouse a really happy camper. What also made me happy were the two eps I watched *nods*

So Dexter was brilliant as usual. It's unhealthy the amount of love I have for that show and that character - well, pretty much all the characters, really.

I'm also insanely in love with Rita. Oh, Rita, I love you a little more with each new episode! You're so fucking wonderful! I already thought you'd been awesome with Paul on the phone the last time but it was nothing compared to today. I adore how she stood up to Paul and showed him who was the boss - you go, Rita! I also adore that she was the one taking care of the Paul problem and not even Dexter.

Incidentally, I'm still madly in love with Rita/Dexter ♥ ♥ I know I should feel bad for loving that ship as much as I do the Megan/Larry ship but I can't help it! They both make me tingle! The former in a darker way than the latter maybe but I do adore them both - that much *opens arms wide*

Speaking of Rita and Dex and Paul - I quite enjoyed that scene between the two when Paul is trying to intimidate Dex. Dude, you SO don't know who you're talking to, are you? Dex barely blinking his eyes when Paul raises his fist to him had me cheer out loud. You go, Dex!

Oh hey this doesn't have a lot to do with anything but that moment when Dex takes Rita by the shoulders and goes 'there, there' made me smile because I couldn't help but think of novel!Dex in Dearly Devoted Dexter and the way he deals with people in distress.

Jeremy was back! And now he won't ever be. That scene in the interrogation room was brilliant! Loved Dexter's look when he's telling Jeremy he's empty too... A moment I found chilling was when Dexter looks at Jeremy's corpse and talks about how the kid did follow his advice after all - that he killed someone who deserved it. I don't know, it was a chilling moment, I thought... Awesome though, that's not the point.

And another awesome moment was Dexter's smile when he realises that Neil is not ICT. I might have cheered a little - even though it wouldn't have made sense if the guy had been him - because I was so happy for Dex! I mean, the guy was so sad, so disappointed to find out that his crush might have been just a pathetic loser... and he was feeling so alone and I don't like seeing him sad! Well, no, I do, Dex angsts beautifully but you know what I mean :-)

And now onto SPN. I don't have a lot to say even though I did enjoy the ep, make no mistake. I did find some things were a little... I don't know, OTT maybe? As if they were beating us over the head with the idea of Sam and Dean being connected and though I liked how they thought the same way and all I just had the impression it seemed a little forced maybe. I mean, I already know how connected those two are and how well they work together. Guess what? That's how I got addicted to the show, the whole Winchesters Duo thing. But I suppose Nice for a Cop Lady needed to get it and since she never watched the first season...

But hey it was a lot of fun seeing them work together even though they were separated so I can't say it bothered me that much, granted :-) Oh and another thing that was a lot of fun was the little montage at the beginning with the gazillion identities the guys took throughout the first season. I have to say SPN has the best 'previously on' ever!

Also between you and me, any episode that gives me a) Dean being manhandled and then pinned against the wall and then b) Dean kneeling in front of another can't be a bad episode in my world *has naughty thoughts about those scenes*

Dean was pretty as usual and such a smartass that it's a miracle he didn't got a public spanking - not that I, you know, dig that kind of thing *cough* Also I won't ever get tired of the gazillion refs to media the guy is doing. I also found pretty amusing the very last scene with Dean going 'doesn't she look familiar to you' and then the pea soup line. The guys cracks me up!

Oh and I'm still enjoying Sam a lot this season. Just thought it was worth mentioning it. Though if they decided to cut his hair it would make me much happier but I guess that's between me and er my haircut issues?

Something else. See, so far I've gone into each new episode of SPN completely spoiler-free, ie I don't know the title of the ep, I don't know even one little detail of the summary and it's been awesome getting into the episodes ignorant of everything. But as it happens, when I was searching for a line for "The Usual Suspects" I found myself face to face with the summary of next week's episode and I have a question - OMG DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN DOWNLOAD THE TRAILER? I mean, yeah, please? THANK YOU!

In conclusion, if you're having as good a day as I'm having, we're all sending very good vibes to the world today :-)

PS: Paid users can get a week of additional paid time to compensate the outage of last week. You just need to activate it.

hope you keep enjoying your day off! lol

going spoiler-free is so good! and you're right, last week's ep was a good filler ep, but it didn't really move the main plot along. i must say i didn't like Nice Cop Lady though, don't know why - i suppose she was in a pea soup commercial at one point, right? lol. did you also think the creature-of-the-week was scarier than usual? i watched the ep while at SAM's friday night, and we were both clutching each other and starting and skrieching all the way through. i thought of how you said you needed someone to squee with during Heroes - with SPN you need someone to hide behind! lol

i'm ashamed to say i'm falling behind on Dexter though - three eps behind! i've DLed them but did find the right time to watch them. soon though, i'm sure.

man, i need more SPN icons! lol

Nice Cop Lady played in The Exorcist actually *g*

She was scarier than usual - I had to maybe lower my glasses when she was on screen :-)

Watching SPN with someone might be the way to go lol

[identity profile] sockich.livejournal.com 2006-11-14 02:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, that spunds like pretty much the perfect day. *nodnod* Glad you're enjoying yourself.

I'm also insanely in love with Rita.

Dude, Rita kicked ass in this ep. And yeah, Dexter/Rita is weirdly compelling.

Dude, you SO don't know who you're talking to, are you?

That scene made me laugh. Poor Paul, you have be idea who you're messing with, here. *glee*

That scene in the interrogation room was brilliant!

OMG I know, right? I thought the whole Jeremy sub-plot was fucking awesome, really, from the moment he let him go in Popping Cherry (?) to where he sees his body.

And another awesome moment was Dexter's smile when he realises that Neil is not ICT.

He was so relieved and happy and yay! ♥

And SPN was fun and Sam and Dean were awesome and the previously-on thingy was hilarious and it was all very yay, especially after the previous episode.

Also, OMG 2x08 IS GONNA KILL ME AND THEN IT WILL BE 2x09 AND IT WILL BE EVEN MORE ME DEATH AND SPN LOVE!!! ♥ ♥

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-11-18 09:47 am (UTC)(link)
That day was perfect, dunno when I'll be able to have another one like that but still, I had that Tuesday *clings*

Lol So hey did 2x08 kill you? And did you see, we got the promo for 2x09 in the torrent - man, should be one hell of a ride. Well, we'll see what the actual episode gives us, of course, but still *g*

[identity profile] katikat.livejournal.com 2006-11-14 03:04 pm (UTC)(link)
Wah! You didn't even mention the motel scene - Dean and Sam having a way to find each other should they get separated :) That's so cute!!!

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-11-18 09:48 am (UTC)(link)
There were a lot of things I didn't mention, but yeah that motel thing was nice ;-) Not unexpected though, they had to have a way to find each other if they got separated and all.

[identity profile] zanzou-chan.livejournal.com 2006-11-14 03:51 pm (UTC)(link)
What was up with the familiar/pea soup comment? I figured it was because the actress was from something, I just don't know what.

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-11-18 09:49 am (UTC)(link)
Linda Blair played in The Exorcist *g*

Yay! Good for you for having what Americans call a "duvet day" or mental health day. Sounds like just what you need. Thanks for the news about the paid time, just activated mine. I hope to dl and watch the 2nd Heroes episode tonight...

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-11-18 09:51 am (UTC)(link)
Duvet days? Lovely name for a lovely activity, all right.

You're welcome about the paid time thingie, I'd have hated to miss it myself, so it was only fair I let the flist knows in case others hadn't heard...

Hail to you getting into Heroes!

[identity profile] admiralandrea.livejournal.com 2006-11-18 11:58 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I think it's a great name!

Heroes is fantastic, I'm enjoying trying to figure things out - nice to find something that's intellectually challenging for a change. And I really must find a Heroes icon!

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-11-18 01:04 pm (UTC)(link)
For Heroes icons, why don't you go to [livejournal.com profile] heroes_icons? Each time I fall for a new show and feel like I need icons, I just hit the interest page and find myself the main icon community for said show - that way I know I'll have pages and pages and pages of icon entries to go through.

Hopefully you'll find something to your liking there *g*

[identity profile] admiralandrea.livejournal.com 2006-11-18 01:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Thanks, I probably knew that really, I just haven't gotten around to trying it out!

Just watched episode 5, people are starting to come together - cool! Save the cheerleader, save the world!

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-11-18 09:25 pm (UTC)(link)
You're welcome :-)

You've reached that point in the series, yay! That scene between future!Hiro and Peter is one of my favourite scene in the season so far. So awesome! That's the scene that gave birth to my first - and only so far - Heroes fic... it's all kinds of special to me *g*

[identity profile] admiralandrea.livejournal.com 2006-11-19 08:50 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, it was weird seeing Hiro like that and hearing him speak flawless English! I'm hoping to dl the next epy today...

And I found a couple of icons...

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-11-20 10:13 pm (UTC)(link)
At this rate you'll have caught up with all the episodes before I catch up with mine! lol I still have to watch the episode from last week, and tomorrow I'll have one more ep to see.

heh, i wasn't there either during the outage, so it's aaaaall good for us! apparently there was a pb with LJ during the week end, and they're compensating paid users ... *g*

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-11-18 09:54 am (UTC)(link)
LJ really does want us all to be friends; I mean, one more week of paid user time for one little day of being down? Sounds pretty good to me *g*

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-11-18 09:52 am (UTC)(link)
Okay so GD already answered you but still - I wasn't on-line that day either but I do remember trying to check the flist and LJ was all broken. Apparently they had an implosion in one of their data center or something like that. Anyway, seems like LJ was down all day.

Days off are the best!

I haven't watched the new 'Dexter' yet, so I'm skipping that part, but, about SPN, I have to say that episode was quite lovely. THe horror part was pretty lame, but the dynamic between the boys was so wonderful here that I'm willing to ignore it. And Sam hasn't been that good in ages. The scene when he's lying, smoothly, shamelessly, and - I suspect - gleefully, to Linda Blair was just awesome.

Still, my biggest issue here was how little bothered the boys seemed with the whole police thing. It's like they were completely sure they are gonna go free anyway from the very start. The murder case and the Saint Louis skinwalker thing aside, even the smaller stuff, the credit cards scams, the impersonations, the possesion of illegal guns, even that could have landed them in quite a spot. Sure, seeing them go smart-assy on authority figures will never stop being fun, but at this level it kinda grated, too.

Where can you download the trailers? Frankly I have no idea. I just watch them on YouTube.

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-11-18 09:58 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah Sam was cool in the episode; who knew the boy could lie so well? And I'm sure he got a kick out of doing it, too!

Still, my biggest issue here was how little bothered the boys seemed with the whole police thing.

Oh I second that! It was almost ridiculous how much they seemed to NOT care. I mean, I do get the whole smartass thing but it was different somehow; it was serious and it wasn't clear from the boys' behaviour. Oh well, I guess that's SPN for us? *g*

I guess I'll just go to YouTube all the time now :-) Unless they include the promo for the next episode in all the future torrents now...

I *was* wondering of whom exactly should the Nice-for-a-Cop lady remind me...

However, the guy (Pete?) was so obviously the villain from his first sequences, I was wondering if this is how the director told him to play it.

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-11-18 10:01 am (UTC)(link)
Yeap, that's who she was :-) Which is why I adored Dean's comment...

Yeah I don't think we were supposed to believe someone else than Peter-or-whatever-his-name-is was the culprit. Or if we were, well, too bad...it didn't exactly work *shrug*

That sounds like the most amazing day. Computer and tv watching time is just the most perfect thing. Especially when added to a long soak.

This is so wrong seeing your squee about a show I haven't seen. I may have to remedy that in the future.

[identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com 2006-11-18 10:02 am (UTC)(link)
Man, I'm not sure when I'll have such a relaxing day but at least I got That Beautiful Tuesday *happy sigh*

Hee omg you're right! I'm squeeing about a show you haven't seen. It does sound so very wrong!
