Each time I think I'll be able to resist the call of Charmed, I have to accept the fact that it's still one of my biggest weaknesses. So last night they aired the last three episodes. During the first one I was busy watching Numb3rs so I couldn't care less but then I made the mistake of going on-line and, as I'm wont to do, when others usually put music as a background sound, I usually put the telly on and it was the penultimate episode and I'm afraid I watched it. And then because I'm sad like that I just couldn't not watch the show finale - especially as I'd already seen it when it aired in the US back then and knew what was in store for me - and so once more, the Halliwells managed to kidnap me *sigh* It's a compulsion, what can I say?
I won't talk about Charmed though, promise - just Numb3rs.
Awww Charlie was so upset! He can't imagine his life without Larry in it... it was sad to see him so delusional re: Larry's departure. I quite enjoyed the convo-argument Larry and he had. I thought it was quite in character for Charlie to behave that way. I also found a bit amusing how neither of them apologised afterwards... stubborn guys, the both of them. Though dude, was Larry really expecting Charlie not to feel upset about the whole thing? People always talk about how clueless Charlie can be re: people interaction but he has nothing on Larry. They certainly make quite the pair.
And now Charlie will be half of a geeky pair *wails* That scene at the end, when he's going through Larry's things and coming to the realisation that Larry will really leave was so sad... poor Charlie. But hey, it's only for six months, right? *hugs*
Speaking of that scene? Brings me to the whole Amita/Charlie thing that I'm still digging, apparently. No shippy icon yet, promise, but yeah, I loved it that last time and I'm loving it now. And I loved that she was there for him during that last scene... loved the tenderness between them, how she was gently stroking the nape of Charlie's neck. Man, seriously, that was so sweet! So I might not have appreciated when she talked about Charlie to Larry at the race track but objectively speaking, I suppose she was right so it's just my Charlie bias that made me go 'stop talking about the Charlie behind his back, you meanie!'
I also loved that scene with the two of them and Don at the house - how they finished each other's sentences, and I just loved Don's look. Yeah, seeing those two act like a couple is surprising, uh? I know the feeling, Donnie :-)
Selfishly speaking though, I hope they won't include Amita in every Eppes scene they'll make because that won't work. I need my Eppes men scenes to be about the Eppes men. The End.
Still not enough Don, though the Don scenes we had were very nice - and seeing Don lose control is always of the good. I never condone violence but whatever; I can root for things on the telly that I wouldn't IRL and I thought he was awesome in that scene.
No Alan at all, which made the Mouse sad. Please be bringing Alan back next time, all right?
Onto the Random:
Oh and I still haven't watched Heroes, btw. I do have a good reason though. So I didn't have time on Friday - The Esu and I treated ourselves with a raclette night. Yesterday I was out all day - tbf!R and I ate at a diner, btw, so cool :-) and then we went to the Val d'Europe mall and oohhhh so fucking huge and all decorated, too - and then I got home and watched Numb3rs and then Charmed and then I was going to watch those two episode except I made the mistake of checking a J² story that someone had recc'ed, namely The Jared Padalecki Untitled Project and before I knew it I'd read all five parts and it was a bit late and I was tired and had to go to bed because I had to wake up rather early. So, see, it was totally not my fault!
PS: Yes, I'm already home today - Big Top is being weird this week. Don't ask. I'll be off again soon enough, anyway *sigh* Am just taking advantage of all the net time I can before going back to the slaving :-)

- Oh hey! We had LaGuerta last week and now we have Angel Batista! Hello Dexter people, how you doing?
- Colby and Charlie were brilliant together! Loved Colby making a reference to Charlie and his math. Then the whole 'are you thinking what I'm thinking' moment was a lot of fun and then they upped the ante with their little duo during the presentation and then we had the hand clasping of awesomeness.
- Re that presentation - when Colby goes 'kinda like?' and Charlie is trying to find a comparison, I loved Megan's amused look, as well as Don's. Those presentation scenes where Our Favourite Agents gently make fun of Charlie are always absolutely brilliant and just all kinds of cute :-)
- Speaking of cute and amusing, I loved David's little laugh when Charlie calls one of the agent ladies.
