Can you believe we finished all our work? Because we have. And today, apart from the few students who're late, or those who come back to fix a problem or the last files we have to deal with, we don't have anything to do. I'm basically paid to cruise the net today. It's quite disconcerting, let me tell you.

Oh hey, speaking of the Sorbonne, did I tell you that they're filming the latest Cédric Klapisch film here? There're a gazillion production trucks parked in the rue de la Sorbonne and there're cameras and stuff inside the university. Apparently, some of my colleagues walked by Fabrice Luchini. He doesn't seem to be part of the cast, though - according to Imdb and if we're both talking about the film Paris - so I don't know what he was doing exactly. Or maybe he's just making a guest appearance? Anyway, if that is the right film, there should be François Cluzet too and if I could see him it would be swell cause I love that actor.

If you want to help me fight boredom? You could, maybe, I don't know, play with me and the "Ask Me A Fandom Question", please? The whole ask me one fandom-related question in the comments. This can be fandom specific, general, or about fandom/lj stuff/fic writing/etc. in general thing? Thx.

Wait, before I go, a link that doesn't have anything to do with the rest but which is worth it: [livejournal.com profile] sarah_merry99 made a poll about fans' Favourite Moments in The Sentinel Season 1, and following the results, [livejournal.com profile] janedavitt clipped all those Favourite scenes. If you want some lovely TS clips? That's where you should go.

Anything to help a mate fight boredom, mate! I'm just... not sure what to ask, since you tend to talk freely about fandom / tv shows. ;)

Oh, here's one: I know you've watched some DW, right? So, are you watching Torchwood? :) And if no, why not?! :D

(BTW, is LJ on crack again? I definitely tried replying to this earlier, and it told me it was forbidden, and then that wasn't there. O_o)

I guess I do tend to ramble and ramble about tv and fandom and whatnot so congrats to you for finding a question to ask lol

So. I'm not watching Torchwood. Yet. Which is quite surprising since I've been waiting for it forever. I think I had way too many things things to download already - ssometimes it feels like I don't have the time to catch up with everything so I was waiting a bit. But see, with SPN being on hiatus, I've downloaded the first two episodes last week and with Heroes following the same path, I plan on downloading the rest. And this way, I'll be able to marathon the whole thing. After Christmas, though.

(Nope, LJ isn't on crack this time, it was my fault. When I posted the entry I'd forgotten to include the link to the TS clips and we were off to lunch so I didn't have the time to go and look for it so I just made the entry private.)

I really want to know why you're disconcerted to be being paid for surfing the net... enjoy it! ^_^

Lol I am enjoying it, promise. I suppose sometimes my Conscious just feels uncomfortable about being paid to do, well, nothing. Though, hey, the reason for that is that we actually finished everything we were supposed to - I guess it's not our fault we worked way faster than planned :-)

At least they're not asking you to create work for yourself. I had a boss like that. :-S Right now, I have to go teach kids to talk... that is, talk in English, not talk amongst themselves, or to me, in French. How hard could that really be? Apparently very. Wish me luck! And have fun - a bientot...

Lol Pull work out of thin air? Right, that boss of yours was so smart *rolls eyes*

And good luck, then!

Phew, class went better than usual... I'm always so surprised when a group of kids will actually shut up and listen (that's not a good sign, is it?).

And, I suppose that was the sort of job I had. He wanted me to be creative, and think of things that our organization could do. Which I might have done had I not actually hated it so much. But he was also the kind of annoying boss who would call you up and say 'Did you read that e-mail that I spent at two this morning (when I was still up and being productive whilst mere mortals were engaging in that namby-pamby pastime known as sleep)?' Ok, so not the last bit, but that was always the impression I got.

Oi! I should not still be ranting about jobs I no longer have!!! ^_^

Glad to hear you had a good time with your students - and it's always nice to be working with kids who are attentive :-)

"Ask Me A Fandom Question"

Ha! I can't believe this! I came looking for you to ask you a question and, hee, you're actually soliciting them! (Boy, won't you be sorry.) *g*

Okay, so here's my question: I did a little bit of checking up on Carnivale, which I believe I'd previously seen mentioned in your LJ, and I was wondering, when are you going to write that Carnivale/SPN crossover? *weg mixed with puppy eyes*

Date: 2006-12-01 02:36 pm (UTC)
From: [identity profile] castalie.livejournal.com
I guess I asked for it :-) Okay so yes you did hear about Carnivale on my journal last year... and obviously I'm all about SPN but as for the crossover you mentioned? Well, I think I'll have to ask for a rain check lol Were you bitten by a little bunny yourself? As odd as it might sound, I never even thought about that kind of crossover...

No, the bunny didn't bite me, I just thought it sounded like an interesting combination. I haven't gotten that involved in SPN yet, still on the periphery, lol, and I've only just read the summaries of some of the Carnivale eps, but when I did, my mind went, hmmmm. *g*

Being on the periphery of the SPN fandom is good enough as long as we can squee about it together :-)
