Priez pour qu'il ne rêve jamais de vous.
Dec. 13th, 2006 10:25 pmWe just had a familial telly session, The Mum, The Teachers and me. On Wednesday, we're now all watching the same thing, namely the brand new French series on France2 David Nolande. I was a bit excited about the show because it's not often french!tv decides to be original. I mean, usually, it's either cop show or lawyer show and when it's not one or the other, it's both at the same time. But this time they decided to go fantasy/sci-fi/mystery. So the premise isn't original per se - a guy is cursed after killing someone and he's plagued by visions during his sleep - but I like the little twist, the curse says that if he fails to save the life of those in danger, his family will pay the price. So he has to save those people if he doesn't want his daughter or his wife or his brother, well, you get the picture, to die.
And the fact that Frédéric Diefenthal plays David isn't a bad thing, either, I quite like that actor *g* I enjoy his character a lot, as well as the secondary ones, my favourite being Sauveur. Just love the guy.
Anyway, it's not often that I get to enjoy a French show - Kaamelott being the first exception - so it's a good feeling :-)
Changing the subject, I wrote a fic today! Well, two, to be precise. I'll only share one for now though - that is, once it's betaed. I've gone back to my TS Night series and ohhh it felt a bit like coming home! There's just something really special about writing a new fic in a) a series you created and b) a 'verse you made up. And I have such a thing for my night!Jim and night!Blair *happy sigh* Why, yes, I'm usually my #1 fan, why do you ask? As I always say, if I don't like what I write, then how can I expect others to? But anyway, one more fic - well, two - to add to my 2006 Fics list *beams*
PS: They're airing Dans les Alpes avec Annette again! Oh, Annette! Julien! Denis! Talk about a trip down memory lane *sigh* Also, I'm apparently getting into Galaxy Railways. I'm thinking of treating myself with the boxset. Or just adding it to my Xmas list *nods*
