I've read my first Black Donnellys slash this morning! Written by [livejournal.com profile] poisontaster. Bless! It's Kevin/Tommy, the pairing I kinda love already, even though, yes there was only one single episode blah blah blah. If you've seen the pilot, you might understand why this is the pairing I'm going for first. Though technically I wouldn't mind some OT3 in the future which would include Jimmy, cause more fucked-up'ness is always a nice element in a pairing, right? :-)

Unrelated now. Today was a nice mail day as I received [livejournal.com profile] babycakesin's parcel of goodness. Two episodes of L&O:CI and the first two episodes of S60. She's completely obsessing over the latter - which makes my interest in The Black Donnellys a bit amusing somehow. In a bad way, of course, Babycakes! Don't hit me! - and since I was curious about it I asked her. She doesn't think it's my kind of show and I kinda trust her on that one but I'm just too curious. And you never know. But it does feel like it's gonna be like The West Wing; I do recognise that it's a fantastic show, it just leaves me cold. We'll see...

But anyway, I watched L&O:CI at least - "The War at Home" and "Brother's Keeper" and my reaction goes along the lines of 'oh, Bobby!' Man, that was deliciously angsty and he broke my heart in tiny little pieces and I want more! And I'm still enamoured with Alex. So okay on the shallow side, I love the way she looks but I especially love how smart and tough and confident and sarcastic she is and how a good friend to Bobby she is too, even when he's not exactly ready to let her help him. Oh how I love that show! I can't wait for amazon to deliver the first season *makes grabby hands*

And since I'm on the subject of shows that I love even though I don't usually mention them here: so I've been watching Veronica Mars the past weeks since M6 started airing it and even though the French dubbing isn't really making me happy, I can't help but sorta, you know, falling in love with it all over again? VM is the girlfriend I never imagined going out with because she's not really my type, except she seduced me and I fell for her and we had a torrid affair for a while, just sex, nothing really more, though it was really good, and then we went our separate ways. No hard feelings, you know? But apparently when she comes back to visit, I want to sex her up again. Who would have thought?

*points to self* un.der.sta.tement. Thanks for being willing to give it a go though *sighs*

Bobby, now: heart breaking. I can't get enough of him, seriously. Of course, the rest of the episode is awesome too, but those moments... and when he finds out that he can't pay for his mother's treatment... *melts*

I love him.

I love Alex too, of course - she's just awesome with him, she gives him his space and all... the first season is going to be awesome to watch! Oh, you should watch the first episode of the 6th season - Alex gets kidnapped by a serial killer and man, she's awesome and when you see how worried Bobby is... well, melting again, really.

All the best with Veronica *g*

What wouldn't I do for you, right? Watch a couple of episodes of a tv show? Man, if that's not friendship, I don't know what is *g*

And the way his mother keeps talking and raving about his brother; man his widdle face! *dies*

Alex is awesome; I love the way she handles him. And oohh that episode sounds great! Is that the episode with John Glover? Because I saw some clips and it looked pretty good, too. Well okay so the whole show is awesome but you know what I mean :-)

All the best with Veronica

Thanks lol

first of all, it's not just any tv show, it's a dying tv show which you know you probably won't love, so I'm all the more grateful. So it's definitely self-sacrifice on your part, so cuddos and shanks *smootches*

And the way his mother keeps talking and raving about his brother; man his widdle face! *dies*
yeeeeeeees! as if he wasn't taking care of her or anything! and the brother sells the coat, dammit!

Yeah, it's the episode with John Glover, so you definitely have to watch it. Plus, it has the blond girl from The Goonies, which isn't much, but enough for me to squee. Oh, and in another episode, there's Dr Doogie playing a bad guy - lovely *g*

Dude, I rock, I think that was the ultimate proof *preens*

yeeeeeeees! as if he wasn't taking care of her or anything!

Yes! And the whole 'your brother'll be here, he wouldn't forget my birthday' 'want to open your present' and the whole refusing and just - poor, Bobby! And yeah, Bobby always had luck. Right! His life must have been soooo easy *hugs him*

L'épisode avec Dr Doogie, ça me dit quelque chose. Il est pas passé y a quelques semaines ?

oh the present scene... *tears in eyes* I was soooo melting. there are a few episodes that I love, and that one's definitely in it. The Dr Doogie episode: I love how Bobby fights to prevent him from getting the death penalty.

there was an episode in the fourth season (the one with the silver spoon thief) in which Alex explains to the suspect's wife that her husband doesn't love her, that he only loves his burglaries, that he's obsessed by it and there's no room for anything else in his life. She says that the husband is a lot like her partner (aka Bobby himself), and I liked the parallel or any reference they make to the fact that Bobby could have gone either way - profiler or serial killer. me likey *g*

I'm also dying to know more about his father. I saw this clip - yes, clips are my saviours as far as L&O:CI is concerned considering how many episodes I missed and considering I can't trust TF1 with the airing; they keep messing up the order and stuff, though it's nothing new, of course! - where a judge starts accusing Bobby of not being really stable and he talks about how Bobby 'despises his dead father' and, seriously, you don't say stuff like to my face and not explain exactly what you meant by that! He also talked about Bobby's mother and brother but then I know where it comes from.

I liked the parallel or any reference they make to the fact that Bobby could have gone either way - profiler or serial killer. me likey *g*

You and me both!

I can't trust TF1 with the airing
no kidding *rolls eyes* I can't understand why they don't release tv show in their proper order! and the fact that they didn't even have the decency to air the first two episodes of House and started strait with episode 3? I feel like hitting them.

oh yeah, I love whenever they mention his father... I wish we could learn more about him - which is why I really want to see the first episode with his nemesis, because she has a great insight of his personality! I want more!

They started stright with ep 3 of House? *blink* Dude, that's new! I mean, they usually start messing with the orders after a rerun, not directly from the beginning.

which is why I really want to see the first episode with his nemesis, because she has a great insight of his personality! I want more!

Me too omg!

From: [identity profile] babycakesin.livejournal.com
uh yeah, that was kinda weird. Especially since I was trying to get my family into House! and my mom hates not watching the first episode of a new show - dammit! I really don't get it. Apparently, for CSI, they blame it on the rating of the episodes and they say the push back the episodes which are too violent [insert eye rolling] puh-lease!

well, Nicole Wallace is in these episodes: 2x03 (anti-thesis), 2x23 (person of interest), 4x04 (great barrier) and 5x01 (grow). I can't find 2x03 and 5x01 and it's driving me insane, so if you get a chance to get them... (oh yeah btw, I have a little notebook with the references of the Nicole v. Bobby episodes noted *nods* I want them!)

Apparently, Vincent D'Onofrio wants to get out of the series. He said that there was no date set, but that he wants to try something new. I just want more Goren family episodes, please!

'Push back the episodes which are too violent'? Quelle connerie *rolls eyes*

So as you know we finally got "Grow" and I'm patiently waiting for "Anti-Thesis". Do you think you could burn the other Nicole episodes for me? Or are you short in CDs? Let me know if you are, I'll buy some. Which reminds me I seriously need to buy a new spindle. Tu les commandes sur le net les tiens, d'ailleurs ? Moi d'habitude j'attends qu'Henry aille a Montgallet, mais là, ça commence à faire long. Et comme je vais pas les acheter à Virgin ou la Fnac parce que bonjour l'arnaque, bah je me retrouve un peu sans rien...

And hail to the little notebook of L&O: CI goodness, mate!

Oh dude, please don't tell me it is so! Vincent D'Onofrio can't quit, Bobby can't leave, noooooooooo! I understand his desire to do something else, but God, I'll miss him too much if he does.

Just, please, don't let him leave before we get many more Goren family episodes *pleads*

Heureusement que y a 6 saisons à voir, quand même. C'est pas comme si on en avait qu'une. C'est ce qu'on doit se dire, je suppose *sigh*

I need to buy some CDs - it won't be for a week or so, but you can get them you-know-where in the meantime *g* I have no idea where to get them on the net so...

I *know* he can't quit! it's hard enough dealing with the 6th season and the 'spot the right episode' - I liked Logan's first partner well enough, but the chipmunk he's with now... which means that I don't even want to watch the Logan/Wheeler episodes. Give us more Goren family, dammit!

what I like about the father plotline is that we get little infos here and there, but it's not quite the same as... well, not the same as more info. (Get 5x06/7, dude) Gaaaaah I can't even say which episode is my favorite! *pauses* okay, fine, it's Brother's keeper, but there are some other ones that are at its ankle!

What if I sent you a DVD? How many episodes do you have sitting on your HD, would it be worth a DVD or really not?

I don't care about Logan, so it makes that sixth season a bit tricky as far as watching the episode goes. Well, that and the whole no-torrent blasphemy, of course!

Get 5x06/7, dude

Dude, is that "In the Wee Small Hours"? Because that two-parter definitely belongs to my list of Episodes I Wanna See *nods*

*loves on your icon*

From: [identity profile] babycakesin.livejournal.com
what I have sitting on my HD would be worth three DVDs, but that's not the point - the problem is that I kinda... hurt the DVD burner *coughs* I wanted to burn a DVD and there was a sticker on it and the sticker got lost inside the DVD thingy and until my brother takes everything apart and removes it, I'm burner-less. Which sucks, cause I have a lot of things on this HD that I really don't want to lost *clings to CI episodes*

I don't care about Logan - and I can't believe there's not decent torrent for CI! But yeah, you have to watch In the Wee Small Hours (that's the one I was telling you about). You're gonna love Bobby in that one! *nods*

Ah. Yes. I'd forgotten about the DVD Burner Incident. Dude, you're a danger to things around you sometimes, aren't you?

I'm still completely baffled at the thought of no decent CI torrent. What am I saying 'decent torrent' that there's no CI torrent. It's hell finding those. How come?! The mind boggles.

thanks for adding the 'sometimes' which my family constantly ignores, leaving me with the reputation of a danger zone - pfff...

it's very weird indeed that there are none. Well, that's not entirely true - there are some for the newest episodes. Just our luck that most of season 6 is focused on Logan *rolls eyes* but the first seasons (plural)? may I cry, please?

I don't know why. I am kinda avoiding the Black Donnellys. I have a blind spot or something. I had it on the other night while I was surfing, but did not give it my undivided attention. I think it has something to do with it being from the guy who did Crash and how Crash stole the oscar from Brokeback Mountain. Or something like that. I guess if I hear enough squee about it, that I will catch up on DVD someday.

Ah, fans and their loyalties to their show/films :-) My friend Babycakes isn't watching TBD immediately because it's apparently replaced S60 in the time slot and so in support of her beloved show, she's keeping some distance from it, so I kinda get your meaning *g*

I'll enjoy the show for you, no problem *nods*

That fact that there's already a fandom for TBD makes me ridiculously happy. *dances*

Also, that is the best description of VM, ever. *g*
