I've just been reading about that in the newspaper. That so many people could die is horrific. I know you were posting about the heat but when you see figures like that it shows how terrible the situation really was.
We're all glad, believe me. This just seems unbelievable though. Ten thousands, whereas in other countries like Spain or Italy, there were between 100 or 1.000 death top!
Yeah, does it surprise you? They're being hit by a wave of disapprovement and resentment, of course they're trying to deny the figures. Oddly enough, I'm trusting what the 'pompes funèbres' say more lol
I think the Gvt is just being overwhlemed by the consequences of their incompetence. They just don't really know how to react right now. Poor little overpaid men lol
the figures are SCARY. well maybe more so for me because mauritius only has 1.2 million inhabitants so 10 000 people dying would be like the end of the world.
