Hey there, guess what? They have free internet in this hotel; that is, they have one computer-with-free-internet at the reception desk - as well as a qwerty and norwegian keyboard, oh the fun \o/ - and I couldn t miss the opportunity to update, if only to use the location feature!

So anyway, am not staying long; just here to say that Norway is beautiful and Oslo is a fantastic city. Also, it s pretty fun because it strts getting dark around 11.30 pm and the sun is rising around 2.30 am. I mean, i knew about it but seeing it with my own eyes is just all kinds of awesome :-)

Off to have dinner now *kisses*

Lol The keyboard thing was funny, if a bit frustrating when you're used to type so fast on an azerty/French one. But where there's a will there's a way so the keyboard didn't defeat me :-)

That's one of the things that really stood out. I mean, the landscapes did too but the whole 'it never really gets dark in summer' thing? Was absolutely awesome to witness. Pretty weird for us but awesome.

I wonder what it's like when you actually live there, though... and let's not talk about winter time.

I'm hoping to go to Finland one day too, btw. I've been to Denmark, now Norway; I need to see more :-)

I did go on a cruise on one of the fjords; the largest and deepest one, at that :-) It was pretty amazing...

Yeah, the no darkness of summer is a perk of living close to the pole. The downside are the winters with like 4 hours of sunlight :S

We were all 'awwing' at the no-darkness-in-summer thing and then we all winced at the idea of barely-four-hours-of-daylight in winter. I know I'd love to see that with my own eyes as well but living it on an everyday basis? Might be a bit difficult...

Well, we have the '¨' as well in French - though we don't use it that much - so it wasn't as 'funny' as the others :-)
