Today was Pride in Paris and oh, I had a blast! I love that event so much! Love the energy, love how fun it is, just love it :-)
moimoietmoi and I joined
angeliksmall,
rosengirl,
daiyaa and
ephyse there. We found ourselves a float to follow, then proceeded to dance the afternoon away. I really loved our float - well, it wasn't a float as such, more like an impala a car followed with a bunch of cheerleaders dressed in black with silver pom-poms dancing and shaking said pom-poms.
The fun was that the crowd following them learnt the steps of the different choreographies and since the same songs played over and over again, after a while we were all dancing in synch. Well, I guess the lot of us with less grace and ease than the original cheerleaders but who cares, right? lol It was a lot of fun and I'm sure we made quite the sight, too; all following the cheerleaders' steps -or trying to for the 'more difficult' steps - only sans pom-poms and laughing our asses off ;-)
Oh! And I was thrilled because there were many 'Free Hugs' people and I hugged several of them and it was great! Ever since I saw the ad I've wanted to do that and now I can check that off the To Do list *g*
We abandoned the parade at St Michel, though, and didn't go to Bastille. But it does mean we danced for around three hours, I think. By then we were dead. Pride is so exhausthing, dude! So we left our cheerleaders and planted ourselves at a Starbucks. As we're wont to do :-)
Then we went our seperate ways and I went back to Choisy to meet with tbf!Rissy.
Twas an awesome day :-) Oh and if you want to see some pics,
rosengirl posted some over at her lj.
I've also watched Heroes - the show premiered in France tonight - and I was relieved to see that the original French opening credits didn't last more than, what, ten seconds? Just the time to hear two lines from the lyrics - thank God for small favours - and pretty nice shots of the characters looking up at the sky. I still think it's stupid and pointless but, well, it could have been much worse, I guess.
I didn't watch it in French though. I keep forgetting that tnt!TF1 offers the original versions of some of their shows. So I've switched to the English version. Awesome!
Speaking of french!tv. Apparently Lost s3 starts next week. I'm thinking of trying to watch the show again. We'll see how long it lasts.

I'm so glad you had fun. Your cheerleaders looked awesome!
I gave up on Lost a long time ago. It was so great at the beginning too.

Date: 2007-07-01 07:36 pm (UTC)It was absolutely awesome; I love going to Pride!
I gave up on Lost after the second episode of s2 that first time - though I was told about what happened - so I have no idea whether I'll actually go back to watching the show, but it's like I feel I owe it to Lost to try time and time again...

Date: 2007-07-01 12:03 pm (UTC)I recorded Heroes last night for my mum, since we were at my cousin's wedding but I watched a little when we came back, the voices weren't too bad, except for Mohinder's, he's indian, and they couldn't find someone with the appropriate accent to dub him :(
As for Lost, I stopped at the middle of season 2 lol so I don't think I'l watched. I think it starts on Tuesday or Thursday, I'm not sure.
*Hugs*

Enfin on verra...

Forgot to tell you that I got the Norway postcard you sent; merci! Also, I've seen the trailer for Sunshine; it looks excellent.
Lost S3 was very good. It had lots of Desmond in it (my favourite character, in case you didn't know).
