Of Bdays and TV and Downloads and Books.
Jul. 3rd, 2007 02:21 pmMan, I had the hardest time leaving my bed this morning. Like, the hardest! I blame Lost that premiered last night - s3, I mean. I think it's a bit stupid to show three episodes in a row, especially when the first one starts at 11.30 pm on a Monday.
It was great, mind you. A bit weird because it's been such a long time since I followed the adventures of our favourite castaways, but great because the mystery is always so thick and I'm really curious as to where this will lead us. Not saying I'm back in the game per se, but at least I watched the three episodes...
I did everything I'd planned yesterday and it was a day of pure bliss! I'm up-to-date with Traveler and The 4400 and I've finished Life of Pi - omg, read it, people, read it! - and it was just brilliant all around :-)
I've also apparently started downloading the first season of Poltergeist: The Legacy. I could say it was my evil twin but I'll own up to it; I did start the download and cannot wait for the last file to complete. Also, a whole season in less then forty-eight hours? I always thought it was only for other people, except not anymore, whee!
Oh btw! I was at Gibert Joseph during lunch-break and had the surprise of my life. How come no-one mentioned Armistead Maupin's last novel? How?! A novel on Michael Tolliver's life! Dude! He's one of my favourite fictional characters! I owe my nickname to him! And he has his very own novel now ♥ ♥

Date: 2007-07-03 02:01 pm (UTC)But man, that was a bad time for Lost to start. I mean, not if it were only one show, but three? Ouch.

Date: 2007-07-06 06:19 pm (UTC)If you would be so kind to send it to me. I'm still only at 56 % with the German version of Black Widow. Would you like it when it's downloaded?

Date: 2007-07-07 02:28 pm (UTC)*facepalm* good on you for not blaming the evil twin but honestly? You feel like watching the Evil D again? I mean, I love Nick and all, but I would be very, very afraid of being disappointed. Like when I watched some animes I used to watch as a kid and I couldn't stop thinking 'ohmygod I can't believe I actually loved this show' - this usually sends me into a shame spiral of 'never again' and eating a lot of ice cream but whatever - what I mean is that for me P:TL is like a myth and I don't want to find out that it was even worse than I remember.
*pauses*
okay, maybe I'll just try the first couple of episodes. Just to check is Nick is still Nick and all.damn you! *runs away from torrent*and Michael's back? *squee* let me know how it goes! *bounces*

Date: 2007-07-09 07:31 pm (UTC)Michael is back, yes! In his own novel and everything; how cool is that?! Et je l'ai pas encore acheté, mais je te dirais ce que j'en ai pensé quand a) je l'aurais fait et b) je l'aurais lu :-)
