Wedding! Cleavage! Sea! LJ!

I'm back from St Michel Chef Chef - dude, the name of that small town will never not be funny - and Pornichet. It was a pretty tiring weekend: The Esu and I woke up at 5.30 am on Saturday, then drove for four hours+ to get to St Michel Chef Chef - hee, smiling again, it's such a cute little name - where we met up the parental unit + Godfather and aunt, then we headed to Pornichet where the wedding took place. We went bed around 5.00 am on Sunday to get up at 9.00 am and then it was a four hour+ drive again.
Pretty tiring, but so worth it! The wedding was fantastic! It could have been made more perfect, maybe, if it hadn't rained a little - though following the French saying 'mariage pluvieux, mariage heureux' it should mean they have a happy marriage - but the heavy rain happened once we were all inside the reception room so it was okay. It was also awesome because our side of the family got to meet up with a woman, a cousin of ours, who had been away for the last forty years and she was moved to tears at seeing her cousins again and meeting the younger ones. It was also interesting because it was like following a genealogy class live. I was quite touched at the mention of my grand-mother; Chantal was talking about 'Clarisse' and how she remembered a woman who 'loved laughing' and who was 'so sweet' and, yeah, that's such a great description of who my grand-mother was. Among other things :-)
On the shallow side of things; we looked all pretty dashing - as you're wont to do on a wedding day, mind - and my dress had much more cleavage than I'm used to, which, know what? I could get used to cause it was pretty sexy *g*
Oh and on Sunday, before heading home, we went to see the sea - fifteen minute walk from where we were staying. Man, I love the sea so much! It's so powerful and gorgeous, and the sound of the waves breaking on the shore? One of my favourite sounds ever! That plus the smell; I was a very happy camper. A tired one, but a happy one :-)
Stopping with the RL stuff now and ending on an LJ note because I've just realised that I missed my LJ anniversary! Like, completely since it was in June. I'm apparently condemned to always miss my anniversary *sigh* Anyway, I've been on LJ for four years, guys! Sounds like a long time, and at the same time not so much considering it sometimes feels like I've been here all my life lol
