FRIDAY! And I thought this day would never come *clings to Friday* I'm seriously hoping next week at work will bear no resemblance to the one I had because I'm not gonna be a happy camper, believe you me!

But, whatever, let's just concentrate on the beauty that is Friday. Plus, I have tbf!Sandra home tonight. As I'm writing this, we're watching s2 of Angel. She was going through my DVDs and was like 'oh hey so was Angel any good, then? I remember watching s1 but stopped'. To which I replied 'hell yes it was good!' Then I proceeded to ramble about it. As a result she asked me if we could maybe watch some episodes? Ha, I'm so smooth, guys!

So, anyway, that's what we've been doing. We have M&Ms and Chocoletti, too. Life is good!

Watching those episodes reminded me - if I needed to be reminded but bear with me - how much I adored that show. And okay so we have Angel and Wesley and Cordelia and Gunn but then I saw Christian Kane's name and it made me squee because hee SPN RPS immediate connection! It's really funny because when I watched Angel last, I wasn't that interested in him... it's only when I started reading SPN RPS that I really got to think that, dude, that Chris guy? Sounds like he's all kinds of awesome. And now he's such a 'familiar' figure, you know? So it was really cool seeing him as Lindsey.

Then we had Darla: oh, Julie Benz, I love you so! And then Lilah! Lilah whom I adored. Although I slash Wes with pretty much everyone on the show - Wesley is one of my Slut Characters, I want Angel or Gunn or Spike or Giles, or some combination of them, to shag him blind on a regular basis - Lilah/Wes was my favourite Angel ship. So disturbingly hot and so deliciously fucked-up.

Something that amused me a lot too was how tbf!Sandrine and The Cellie kept me informed about tonight's episode of Koh Lanta - French version of Survivor - via text messages. They've been texting me - almost simultaneously, which was even more amusing - about every twist and turn. Too cute for words :-)

Speaking of tbf!Sandrine; she'll come over tomorrow after Sandra has gone and then we'll go and see Hairspray, woohoo!

Oh Angel, how much I loved that show *g*
I have to say that the first 3 seasons were good, but I didn't dig to much the all Cordelia/connor thing, that was weird.

I got into Angel after the rest of the world had; the show had been off the air for some months when I decided that maybe it would be nice if I really gave it a go. I mean, I'd started watching the first season when TF1 aired it but, dude, they completely messed it up so I stopped... then one day they offered the box-set for 19€ and I thought 'this is a sign' So I bought it and then in the course of a couple of months, I'd sorta bought all the box sets and devoured every single episode til the last *g*

LOL niveau diffusion, ils sont pas doué chez TF1, ils arrêté de diffuser après le saison 3 si je me souveins bien, et j'étais deg de n'avoir jamais la suite, alors une amie m'avais proposer un week-end Angel XD
On s'est matté la saison 4 en 2 jours, et la 5 le week-end d'après :D

I don't have a VCR anymore either so I feel your pain re: wanting to watch videos but not being able to.

Sadly the second part of the weekend didn't go as planned at all; RL decided to be hell - the sad and overwhelming type - for my best friend.

It is a bit scary because I have no idea how to help Sandrine: in the past three weeks she's gone through hell... she lost so much and it truly is overwhelming and I know she's strong but I'm afraid it'll be a bit too much. I've always known life isn't fair or unfair, it just is, but God, I can't really understand what's happening to her, I swear.

I think when life gets like that the natural instinct is to do something. I mean, she's someone you love, and you want to make things better, but of course sometimes that's not possible.

When that happens all you can do is be there, and I know you will be. You're one hell of a friend, and even if you can't physically make things better, your strength and love will mean a lot.

Which I know, is cold comfort when you're worrying and have to sit and watch things fall to pieces.

All I can say is, having someone be there and just listen is worth so much, and I know you'll be doing that, and some.

Thanks for the kinds words, Terri. She asked me to stay at her place for a couple of days so I'll physically be with her, which reassures me a lot too because the phone is one thing and a presence is another...
