TS goodies

I love the Sentinel fandom on a good day - as some of you might have noticed already - but sometimes I'm filled with even more love for it. And it happened last night when the lovely sassyinkpen decided to share with us her homemade TS calendar. Even though I already have The Best Fannish Calendar there is around - the one made by Terri, thanks for asking - I still snagged the TS one because you can't ever have enough fannish goodies in your life, right? And seriously, it's so pretty there's no words for it! Also, Sassy gave us permission to share it so I uploaded the whole thing for you to snag if you want. Changing the subject - though I'll go back to TS in a few - you might have heard about 1sentence? Well, see, I didn't think much of the concept at first but changed my mind after reading several sets of responses. I realised it was kinda nice. Jim/Blair had already been claimed as well as Don/Charlie so I thought I wouldn't get to play except I had this idea and it wouldn't leave me alone.

I've been meaning to write things lately but though the bunnies are alive and kicking, they don't want to work exactly so I thought I could try to, say, ease myself into writing again? And this is where the concept comes to play because suddenly I'd picked a theme set and written 25 sentences out of 50 - and hey, can you tell I was back to school today? lol It's Jim/Blair, and each sentence is supposedly set in my Night universe.

So in truth, even if I'd claimed Jim/Blair, I'm not sure I would have officially gone through with it because there's not so many people who are familiar with my series outside my flist - or say outside those who do know about it, granted, but in a multi fandom community, what are the odds? - so I'm stealing the theme set and playing with it, only not at the comm but in my own journal. I certainly don't claim ownership of anything though - bar the sentences themselves obviously...

25 of the 50 sentences - unbetaed for the moment, sorry, I'll have the whole set betaed later, promise. Jim/Blair. Night series, well sorta :-)

1 - Motion
When Blair had sex with his customers, and as much as he feigned enthusiasm, in reality he never did more than go through the motions, but when he was with Jim, having sex finally became fun and pleasurable again - and an experience that was not just orgasmic but heavenly too.

2 - Cool
The cool sheet felt like heaven on Jim's hot skin and he promised himself that as soon as he came back from the dead, he would do something to thank Blair for always knowing what he needed.

3 - Young
Living in a small apartment in a crappy neighborhood with a male lover who happened to be a prostitute and being as happy as one could be under the circumstances was definitely not the kind of life Jim had envisioned when he was younger, but it did prove that life wasn't always a bitch, it was also sometimes quite amusing.

4 - Last
The last stroke was the last straw - a stupid joke that always made him smile - and Jim finally let himself come deep inside Blair, crying his lover's name and holding him as if he never intended to let him go, which maybe - just maybe - was closer to the truth that Jim was comfortable with for the time being.

5 - Wrong
"You think I'm going to fuck you, then fuck you over," Jim accused, "well newsflash, Chief, you're fucking wrong and I'll damn show you until you realize I'm not lying and you apologize for being the untrusting little shit you always are."

6 - Gentle
Gentle sex often followed rough sex - it was like having the best of two worlds.

7 - One
Being the only one for Blair was something Jim felt proud of but it wasn't near enough, he wanted to be the last one too.

8 - Thousand
Jim had a thousand regrets in his life - things he wished he'd never done, things he wished he'd done differently, but taking the risk to embark in a relationship with Blair Sandburg wouldn't ever be part of the list, no matter how fucking difficult it sometimes was.

9 - King
The bed creaked for the umpteenth time making Blair roll his eyes, it looked as if it was agonizing and about to die on them at the slightest provocation, which maybe meant it was time for Jim and him to make their first purchase as a couple and, sure, Blair knew they couldn't afford the king-size bed of his dreams but he had the feeling his dream loft was going to have yet a new addition soon.

14 - Command
Jim loved being in control, he enjoyed controlling Blair when they had sex, enjoyed the orders he gave the younger man, allowing him or not to touch himself, letting him come when - and only when - Jim decided it was time to do so, but one thing he couldn't make Blair do was to let go of his fears and doubts.

15 - Hold
Blair was staring at Jim in that unnerving way of his and, after what seemed like an eternity, a little smile appeared on his face as he leaned forward to kiss his lover on the lips and whisper "I'll hold you to that" against Jim's cheek, the words sounding like a promise of his own.

16 - Need
Blair didn't need anyone, he didn't want to need anyone and Jim Ellison wouldn't be the exception that made the rule - Blair wouldn't allow it.

17 - Vision
In the last months, Jim had discovered he had the kind of vision one could only ever dream about having, he could see things a normal human being wasn't supposed to and yet, as far as Blair Sandburg was concerned, it felt as he was blind most of the time and had to walk in the dark, finding his way very slowly and often bumping into things.

18 - Attention
Jim couldn't help a smug smile at Blair's glassy eyes - his little attack on the other's man lips had had the effect he wanted, he certainly had all of Blair's attention now.

19 - Soul
"Mind, body and soul," Jim whispered against his lover's skin, stroking the sweaty flesh shivering under his hands, "that's all what I want from you."

25 - Shadow
When he first started working on the street, Blair thought of picking 'Shadow' as an alias because as sixteen you wanted a cool name and 'Shadow' certainly had a nice ring to it - that and the fact that it summed up his whole situation so nicely - but in the end he changed his mind and went for Sky instead - and, sure, it might not have sounded as "cool" as the other name, but it had a hopeful and almost carefree resonance that his own life definitely lacked and he'd always find it quite ironic and amusing.

26 - Goodbye
Saying goodbye to Jim that night disturbed Blair in a way he didn't quite understand since, after all, that's how they proceeded - they would have incredible sex and then Blair would go home, it was casual and that's how they both wanted it... right?

27 - Hide
Jim didn't even try to hide his smile at Blair's almost embarrassed look; he couldn't help it, he loved a flustered Blair.

28 - Fortune
"I'm telling you, Jim, we would make a small fortune if you accepted to fuck me in front of an audience," Blair said, laughing already as he knew it always drove Jim crazy when he joked about it, but the young man didn't have time to tease his lover longer as Jim pounced on him and proceeded to kiss him unconscious in order to stop the flow of words.

29 - Safe
For the new year, Jim decided that his resolution for the next twelve months would be to make Blair feel as safe in his arms as he was in his dream house because, as everyone knew, Jim thrived on difficulties.

34 - Sing
"You always say you don't sing but each time you scream my name, it's like music to my ears," Jim chuckled as he pulled out of Blair who was so sated he didn't have the strength to mock Jim for the pretty mushy comment.

44 - Wall
There was something always special about fucking Blair against a wall, Jim thought as he thrust hard and tried to repress a growl so that they wouldn't attract attention in the alley, it was rough and desperate and full of want and need and urgency and if they looked like two animals like that, unable to wait until their reached their fucking building, well he didn't give a shit because right this moment he was surrounded by Blair and nothing else mattered.

45 - Naked
Blair realized he'd never been naked before: being in front of his clients meant nothing, when he was with Jim it felt as if the other man saw right through him, as if Blair couldn't hide anything from him and that was the true meaning of being naked in front of someone.

46 - Drive
They drove each other crazy; inside the bedroom - which always put a smile on their faces - but also outside of it and against all odds it apparently was the recipe for a working relationship because they were soon going to celebrate their second year together.

49 - Hunger
There was all kind of hunger in life; hunger for food, which Blair had known and never wanted to feel ever again, hunger for knowledge, which he couldn't ever satisfy, hunger for life, which Blair was full of as he'd always fought and fought to keep his head high and then, there was hunger for love, which he never thought he would ever know - that is, until James Ellison came into his life.

Btw, the comm has a French sister! It's called une_phrase, I thought it was sweet :-)

I was surprised that some of the more obscure fandoms(at least to me) had plenty of volunteers and no one had asked for TS or Starsky and Hutch.

The challenge has been running for a while now, so I figured better me than no one.

I know there's lots of great writers in TS who have written loads more than I have, but I've read nearly everything, the good and the...baaaaad, so I hope I can tell the difference.

I happen to love badfic, though, because damn, you just can't get enough to laugh at in life, can you?
Read one this morning where someone had shaved Blair hairless that had me itching and squirming for the poor guy.

Yeah, I saw that too, but it's obvious she's tolerating more than anything, and well, it's her comm and as such she should be comfortable with what's in it.

I did love so many. In fact there wasn't one that I didn't like, it's just those particular ones sang to me the most. They were like little samples of Night Series that add up and show so much more. Which is just so cool.

Also, setting them up in my Night series is like taking snapshots of what is going on between the stories I already wrote - it's awesome!
