What kind of psycho are you??
Oct. 26th, 2007 01:43 pmI'm really, really enjoying the new arc in this season of Supernatural, wow!
Of course, I'm also kinda freaked out by said new arc because as it is, it feels like pretty much everything could happen, which does include some dark and scary and Very Sad things. It does make the whole season kinda fascinating but it's not good for my heart, that's for sure!
How much did I love Dean and Casey's confrontation? No, 'a lot' doesn't begin to cover it. I thought it was fantastic and, also, well, kinda beautiful. I don't know, I think it was in the honest way they were talking to each other. Such at odds with the situation, ie a hunter facing a demon escaped from hell. That was a streak of genius *approves*
Oh and it was quite touching, too. What with Dean oh-so-casually - yeah, right! - asking about hell and then talking about unscared he is about the whole deal. Oh, Dean!
I really lapped up everything Casey told us about hell and Azazel and Lucifer and the Big Plan and Sam and, dude, the more I think about it, the more I love that whole scene!
I also adored the idea of this demon talking about faith when all the humans in the city had pretty much given up God. Speaking of her faith, her telling Dean she was ready to follow Sam? Oh man, that was chilling and all kinds of awesome.
And demons being in love for centuries? Definitely did something to me. Another great moment.
Sam killed the two hosts without even the slightest hesitation. I mean, I'm not even sure he had any other choice - Dean did try to ask him to spare Casey's life, but I'm not certain she would have been exactly thankful considering what Sam had just done to her lover - but it doesn't change the fact that he didn't hesitate for a second and just killed them. Just like that. Me, I adore this darker side of Sam, it's all kinds of fascinating but I sure as hell don't want things to turn so badly that we lose him. Or Dean. Or either of them... omg, boys!
On the other hand, it's like Sam can't get in touch with his inner dark guy without everyone immediately jumping to the conclusion that he's doomed and turning evil. Sure, this Sam is different, definitely not the same Sam we saw in the pilot but so many things happened since then it's understandable...
It hurt me to see Dean questioning Sam's attitude. It felt like I was watching someone lose a bit of his faith, in a way. Does it make sense? I mean, okay, considering what is happening, Dean has to wonder... one way or the other, there's no way he would lose Sam - and that kind of change would definitely fit the bill - but it's still painful to witness.
Bobby! Bobby was here again! Oh, Kripke & Co are so spoiling us! I cannot get enough of the Bobby-Winchesters' interaction. He's so a parental figure, isn't he? It's nothing new, mind, but we're really seeing it these days and I love it!
I'm dying to know what the hell happened during the moment Bobby saw Ruby and their coming to Sam's rescue. What the hell did they talk about? What did she tell him?
Speaking of Ruby... I'm afraid I was more interested in Casey than Ruby in this episode. Sorry, mate! Maybe next time, eh?
A couple of last things:
I'm sooooooooo enjoying the ride! I LOVE YOU SPN!
Incidentally, I'm waiting quite impatiently for the icons to pop up because the pretty, it was strong in that episode! Yeah okay as usual, so sue me *g*
Oh and I watched the last Prison Break as well and I think my favourite scene was when the guards gathered the inmates in the yard. First, because men on their knees is always a gorgeous sight. Second because I loved how tense everyone was and because I love it when Michael is being roughened a bit. I also liked how Whistler came to the rescue.
Poor Michael, he's definitely due for a little breakdown, isn't he?
Okay now, off to - finally - watch Chuck 1x01. I meant to do it but I think it's the Tango scene that made me think I should maybe hurry and try the show before the end of the century.

A couple of last things:
- I adored that domestic scene at Bobby's at the beginning.
- They can give us many more glimpses into Dean's life while Sam was at Stanford because I'm sucker for those. I'm really curious about that time, so, yeah, gimme, guys!
- Sam cracked me up with his little comedy moment when facing not!General Hammond. I laughed and laughed. That was fun :-)

On verra :-)
