Last week didn't deliver Pushing Daisies and it was sad, but because the universe can't keep being that mean to us, we got our Pushing Daisies fix today \o/

Spoilery bullet points for 3x06 - "Bitches":

  • Each time we learn something new about Ned's childhood, it makes me want to cry. Man, his childhood breaks my heart!

  • For all schmoopy and cute and sweet that Pushing Daisies is, it does have some gruesome deaths. I have issues with murder-by-knives - even accidental ones, apparently - and the multiple self-stabbing had me covering my eyes *makes face*

  • Of course, those murders are always pretty awesome in how original they are.

  • The Quartet makes for an awesome team ♥

  • I quite liked Simone - especially how toppy she was with Emerson.

  • Actually, all the guest characters are always of the awesome. Always quirky and, like, special somehow and I love Pushing Daisies for being quirky all around.

  • I love how the angst in that show is gorgeous and makes me go 'awww' and then makes me shiver a little because it's all about Love - with a capital L, obviously - and it is sad and tragic, Ned and Chuck's story, but it's also just gorgeous *sigh*

Also? I WANT PIE NOW!

Unrelated now, how do I know Christmas time is approaching? The decorations in the streets - unlit as of yet, it's too soon - or the cold? It's part of it, yes, but I was thinking of something else; a) [livejournal.com profile] turps33 talking about SeSa and b) Winter Job aka Big Top time showing its head. Big Top launches in two weeks... and for three weeks we won't have a single day off *makes face* It's only for three weeks, though, and it's part of December, right?

Lastly, Kaamelott mention of the day - I finally reached the last episode of the last season on DVD so I'll stop rambling about it now - Perceval makes me melt sometimes:

"Mais moi, je m'en fous des honneurs, rien à péter. Le Graal aussi, rien à péter. Moi, c’est Arthur qui compte. Moi, je suis pas un as de la stratégie ou du tir à l’arc, mais je peux me vanter de savoir ce que c’est que d’aimer quelqu’un."

Perceval doesn't give a damn about the rewards or even the Grail, only Arthur counts for him. He might suck at the whole strategy or archery thing but at least he can proud himself on the fact that he know what love is. Perceval! ♥ ♥ I adore the Arthur-Perceval dynamics in Kaamelott! I really do!

[livejournal.com profile] babycakesin? I uploaded the ep over at YSI if you wanna grab it? Kaamelott Livre IV - L'Habitué.

*squee* Kaamelott! I've screwed my eyes shut to avoid the Pushing Daisies recap - I haven't seen it yet - but Perceval is the cutest when it comes to Arthur, honestly! I hadn't seen this episode (you're the sweetest for uploading it! *hugs tight*). It's like whenever Arthur is nice to him - like when he understands the rules of the game, or when he says that Perceval is the only knight with whom he dines alone... *happy sigh* they're so cute!

What I adore with Perceval's character is how there's so much more to him that meet the eyes. I mean, sure, he's a bit of a moron for, wow, so many things, but apart from that he's so incredibly dedicated to Arthur! It's like a leitmotiv with him; how he wants Arthur to be proud of him, and he keeps trying to do better to please him.

I also adore how he gets angry each time Karadoc was talking about taking the sword out of the rock in the fifth season.

Hee "Perceval Fait Raitournelle" !

I finally just finished 1x06 and it was, once again, brilliant. :) As for Simone, she was in an episode of Doctor Who S1 with Christopher Eccleston. You know, the one with Simon Pegg and the crazy monster running the media?

I need to spend some time getting some new PD icons.

British actors seem to be quite popular these days on American tv; it's like they have to have at least one English accent in their show or else something is missing :-)

Oh man. It's nearly big top time! This makes me so excited!

I haven't seen PD yet, but you know me, so nosy and I'm so with you on knife deaths. I hate knives, just thinking about them is making me shiver now. I'm talking sharp ones btw. I don't recoil from butter knives *g*

In two weeks time, sis!

And the guy kept stabbing himself over and over again *cringe* It was both funny because, okay, this is Pushing Daisies and the deaths in that show always have a comical feel to them, and gruesome because omg multiple stabbing!
