I meant to get home not too late yesterday and start writing my Christmas cards but I got detained. Sorta. I went to my parents' place to help with some stuff and then The Sis and BIL arrived and we decided to install the decorations outside the house. It took some time because it's not easy putting them up like that and we had to macgyver some hooks with coat hangers and stuff.

Also, there's a sort of law that says that each time we install the lights outside, it has to start raining. It never fails. One of those laws; Jim loves Blair. Sam wants to fuck Dean. It starts raining when we install the lights. When Mom got home she was like 'get inside the lot of you, you'll get sick. Sicker. Something' but we wanted to finish so we didn't. Because we're obstinate sometimes. And a bit stupid. Besides, it wasn't raining that much. Just enough that it was annoying, really.

And then, as a reward, Toinette - friend of the family who's staying at the parental unit's - decided to make some crêpes. I just couldn't leave, right?

Oh! New SPN this week! ♥ ♥ I really can't wait to watch the episode, I miss the boys way too much when they're not around *clings*

Speaking of SPN; remember the fic I wrote a couple of weeks ago? I don't think it'll see the light of day, after all. I'm just not happy with it and though I never claim to write the best fics in fandom at least I love or like every single fic I post. This one is just off and I can't seem to be able to fix it, so either I rewrite it all one of these days or I just forget about it; 1400+ words sent back into the ether, it would kinda suck but it happens, I guess *shrug*

Okay, entry break done, back to work now...

Oh, did your parents get anything new this year? I know, so nosy, but I'm used to seeing their home all done up for Christmas.

Can you not get a SPN person to look over your story, see if maybe fresh eyes would give a new perspective?

Lol I actually like that you're curious about it :-) They don't have anything new for the front of the house - unless Henry bought some blues lights today like he wanted to - but there're many new inside-decorations...

I think right now I'm just not in the right frame of mine to go and look over the fic a new time but once I'm rested and I have free time on my hands I'll give it another look and then, like you said, I'll certainly ask someone else to help me with it. Maybe fresh eyes will do the trick *nods*

I love the blue outside lights, they look so pretty. Thing is, we have so many lights anyway, getting more would be silly.

I think the blue lights would make a nice addition to the other decorations but it would have to be enough after that because it would clutter the facade...

At least give a beta a chance to help you salvage it. I'd be willing though you know it's not my primary fandom. (I'd even try to be *nice* which is unusual for me as a beta. /grins/)

Right now I just don't have the time or inclination to give it another look but I promise I will before 'salting and burning the bones of it' - it cracked me up, btw lol

And I thank you for your offer, you're a doll, but I think I'd like to ask someone who lists SPN as a primary fandom. Seeing how crazy the fic is driving me, I guess I need that kind of sharp eyes... the eyes of someone deep into SPN, do you see what I mean?

And absolutely NO PROBLEM that you want to wait a while, 'cause goodness knows I've got WAY too much on my plate at the moment... ..SeSa to finish, gifts to finish producing, shopping to do (gack!), THREE games to finish before New Years, and almost the entirety of the Sparkly Cluedo game to finish producing by the end of February... ..and one of my Christmas ideas is going to keep me busy... ..not to mention how far behind I am with writing in general.


So, y'know, any time after New Year's you'd like to help my procrastination, my eidetic memory & fandom obsession are totally available for SPN writing purposes, be it beta, plot-discussion, whatever. *g*
