castalieI'm trying to stay coherent for the next minutes - just in time to write this post in a way that will make it possible for everyone to understand, but OMG it's really difficult because what happened is just so fucking awesome I'm still high just thinking about it!
I'm going to tell you right away and then I'll try to go with the details, all right?

I fucking saw SAM RAIMI, KIRSTEN DUNST and TOBEY MAGUIRE tonight!

Okay, I'm good, I'm good. Let's see if I can recap the evening for you.
How The Most Mundane Evening Turned Into A Dream For Mousey Fangirl Mouse aka How Fate Smiled Upon Me Without Even the Smallest Warning.
Act 1 -> Julien calls me at 5.00 pm to ask me whether I want to go to the movies with him to see Ladykillers. We talked about the movie yesterday and he wants us to go tonight - I say yes and he comes home around 6.30 pm.
Act 1b -> Since it's early for the 8.00 pm showing, we start watching Master and Commander and Juju being quite exhausted these days falls asleep. I don't have the heart to wake him, so let it go.
Act 1c -> I catch sis and Henry on MSN and we chat a bit. When Julien finally wakes up, he asks if we fancy going out anyway, and we all decide for bowling at Thiais (near the mall). I actually don't really want to go at first, but decide it'll be fun and it's been ages since I went, so okay for bowling.
Act 2 -> 9.00 pm, Aurélia and Henry pick us up and we all leave the house for Thiais. On the way, Julien starts to talk about the release of the newest PSG shirt, the newest official shirt for the Parisian football team. Since it's a big deal here, the PSG store in the Champs Elysées will be open until midnight. Julien is a huge fan of PSG so we decide to head for Paris instead since we know he's dying to go - besides, it's been ages since he went to les Champs, so off we go.
Act 3 -> We're walking down the avenue and we arrive right in front of Le Fouquet's, the famous and oh so bloody expensive restaurant, and wow I realise there's something big going on : Spidey decorations all over the facade, lasers, giant spider webs on some of the trees and everything, and even more intriguing, security guards + some soldiers around the place, and yeah let's not forget a little crowd already gathering on each side of the entrance. I find my way in the middle of said mini-crowd --it's early yet, how lucky I am, boy!-- and ask what the big deal is and OMG it's actually the Premiere of Spiderman 2 and I can't believe it but Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst are apparently here! I just can't miss such an opportunity and send The Eclectic Sibling unit to the PSG store, I'll keep guard in front of the restaurant with the other geeks, thank you very much. The Esu laughs but they know me and they know I'm dead serious so they just abandon me without a backward glance, knowing I'm a very happy camper right now with lots of hope in my heart and everything.
Act 4 -> Time passes and more and more people are gathering around us. I'm chatting with the guys around me and we're going from hopeful to defeated, oscillating between the hope the actors will be there and the fear that it's just an hoax or something and that even though there was a huge premiere with lot of money put in it, there won't be any of the cast present. Still, I can't give up hope because I'm a fangirl, and fangirls believe 'til the very end!
Act 5 -> The Esu comes back from PSG store - there is an endless queue and they prefer waiting here after all. They start to flirt with some nice soldiers to gather information and thus keep me posted every five minutes on how things are developing. Sis couldn't care less about Spidey and Co but she's all excited on my account. They all gather on the other side of the street and keep an eye on me, because I'm apparently the kind of semi grown-up who needs to be taken care of. Whatever. They chat with the soldiers around them, I chat with the geeks around me, everyone is happy in their worlds.
Act 5b -> The movie is now finished and everyone who had a VIP ticket is now invading the restaurant, walking on the red carpet and everything. We're now all hoping we won't have to wait for too long anymore - I'm constantly worried about The Esu telling me we have to go and ordering me to leave with them - I can see the scene, me stubbornly and brattily refusing to go, them bodily picking me up screaming and kicking, it would be ugly *shudder* But no, they're apparently happy with waiting for me to see the cast, no matter how long it last - could I be more in love with my Esu!!
Act 5c -> One of the security guard tells us the cast is indeed present and that they're going to arrive in an hour.
Act 6 -> The hour is almost up and it's now almost midnight. The crowd starts to get even more excited --you know how it is-- and I joke with the guy in front of me about how I'm certainly going to fall over him, but he shouldn't worry, I'm harmless and it's not my fault - he jokes back about his shoulders being broad enough and suddenly turns to face me and asks me whether I want to settle in front of him... as in right in front of the entrance! He says that he's bigger than me and he would still see everything whereas I'll have problems seeing myself and bam! I'm suddenly right in the front! I tell him he's my new hero *g*
Act 6b -> Shiny and expensive cars start to arrive and the same security guard as before tells us it's someone important... well damn, it's Sam Raimi! He's right here, in front of us - and the guy is such a sweetie, he actually walks up and down the line and shakes hands with the first row, as in ME, and says hello and stuff! He also accepts to pose for several pictures, and when My Hero asks him when Maguire is coming he smiles and tells us he doesn't know. I mean, how cute is that?!
Act 7 -> Things are going faster, several cars arrive, and suddenly we notice that cars with Nice People in it have a number on the glass - and YES! This new one does have one too - the people inside leave the car and squeeeeeeeeeeeeee it's Kirsten Dunst!!! Short and cute haircut, sexy outfit with a skirt and a shirt that let her belly bare, man I am in heaven - she's just gorgeous! The guys I've been chatting with all agree with me *eg* She doesn't wait though, just walks down the aisle but I saw her! Right in front of me!
Act 8 -> This time, the crowd is getting more and more excited at each passing second with the excitement of seeing both Sam Raimi and Kirsten Dunst --Kirsten Dunst in particular, I guess *eg*-- and the growing anticipation for TM's arrival, when Nice Security Guard turns toward us and shows the car with his head and nods at us and YES! It's him, Tobey Maguire!!! Man he's small - not that it's the first thought that occurrs to me, but it's true, he's small... he shakes some hands and quickly talks with the crowd and man it's over too soon, but I'm so fucking high and giddy lol The Esu runs towards me and hugs the crap of me, they're just so happy I got my wish and was able to see them - they're all excited for me and tease the hell out of me. It can't be helped, I guess, and it's okay because I had such a great time lol
I mean I saw Sam Raimi, Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire without even the smallest warning *THUD again*
Oh and we also saw Veronique Genest and Anthony Kavannagh btw *g*
I'm still high, guys, high - it was so fucking unexpected! I mean, it was as if I were meant to see them tonight - as if everything converged toward that point! Movie got cancelled and was replaced by bowling. I didn't even want to go bowling but decided to follow after all. On a spur of the moment we decided not to go and changed our plan to head for Paris instead, and BAM, the cast were there!!!

I expected Harrison Ford to be huge and he's only about 5'10 or ll and about 170lbs.(He lives here, and rides his motorcycle around occasionally.) That's just an inch or so taller than I am.
He's really just an averagely nice-looking guy, in that rugged sort of way. His eyes are nice, I like green/hazel eyes. The smile is his best feature.
But, you could walk down the street and really not notice him quite easily if he didn't want you to.

I would imagine GM seems taller in person. His bio says he's 5'8" which is the same height I am, and I never feel short, unless I'm around my husband, who's 6'9". LOL
5'8" actually just a hair under average for men. (average is 5'9", statistically)
But, all the other guys on that show were like redwoods! RB is about 6'2" and BY a few inches taller. Whoa.
Stories that go on about how "little" Blair is annoy me. He's hardly that. Pretty close to average.
It's amazing how many people in movies and TV, especially women are TINY! (might explain the anorexia trend in Hollyweird too. Tiny gets work!)
I once heard it said that the trend to use small women actresses started way back when it was decided that it makes men look more "manly" to be paired on screen with a tiny woman.
When Ingrid Bergman showed up in Hollywood at 5'7", a lot of male actors refused to work with her because she as "too big". Many of them weren't much taller than her, and they felt it slighted their masculine image on screen.
Even now many actors have clauses in their contracts that say they won't work with an actress unless she's at least an inch shorter than he is. (I know Emilio Estevez, who is only 5'6" always did that.)

I'm not a big Spiderman fan anymore, but it's cool, and HELLO? MOVIESTARS!!! And I love Sam Raimi for Xena and Spidey WAS my favorite cartoon when I was a kid... ..so I =DO= understand, I do!
That's kinda what it was like for me when I found out Austin St. John was gonna be in Chicago. *points at icon* He's TOTALLY my hero, not to mention a complete hottie, and turned out to be just as cool in real life as his character on TV. Man, I dropped EVERYTHING that week and scurried about like a mad thing, getting my ticket, getting om the train... ..it was a blast, lol.
