Mouse's Flat #5453: So as of yesterday, the walls are ready for the new wallpaper, yay \o/ It went faster than I thought, me happy. Things are going so fast, actually, that I'm getting more and more excited about the whole thing and I'm dying to buy the furniture I've found and move in, like, now omg! Not that I'm in a hurry to move out per se - I've never had any problem with my parents and I'm not impatient to 'leave them at all cost' as such. It's just that I'm impatient to have my own place, is all :-) It's high time, seriously.
And it's so great imagining your own home; buy exactly what you want because everything will be yours and you won't have to share with anyone else. Being single does have its advantages *g* I've already chosen the furniture I want - thank goes to the internets - and my bank account won't even die or anything! I'd love to go shopping to the actual shop tomorrow so I can see whether I can already buy them or if I need to wait.
I've also called my provider to ask them how to proceed re: my internet connection and the new line and everything pertaining to my drug of choice. Incidentally, since I was at it, I asked for a faster one. Hey, new place, new connection, right? Let's just hope it'll work there. If it doesn't, I'll just keep the one I have. I'm used to the crawling downloads, anyway :-)
I'm still buying little things - this I can do right away, at least - so I now have plates and forks etc... Since the new fridge arrived on Wednesday, I can actually get food and eat over there if I want to! How incredible is that? *bounces* I also got the couch for Clark's room/the guest room, btw, so to whom it may concern, you'll be able to sleep at my place, it's official *g*
Okay, so now that it's out of the way, onto the fannish. I meant to ask for the longest time and I always forget: how many of you use a del.icio.us account? To rec fanfics, that is. Cause I have one and now that I've figured out how the whole network thing works, I wouldn't mind having more people linked there. It's amazing how you always seem to find fics you've never heard of before, no matter how many of them you already find on LJ. I've found some great fics I'd have missed otherwise thanks to
walkawayslowly being on my network, so if you're reading this and you're interested, let me know?
And also, here is my account. Fics only, sorted out by fandoms, pairings, genres, kinks, stuff like that... I have to say I just love del.iciou.us and I'm completely smitten with their bundle tags *is a happy dork*
Admittedly, most of the fics I have linked so far are SPN and SPNRPS - though you do find other fandoms - but I have so much fun with J2 fics - or J3, for that matter - that I can't help it. Sometimes it feels like I'm bulimic; I always want more of that pairing. There's also many different genres; from the dirty and raunchy to the smoochy and sweet, that I don't know where to start, sometimes *g* It's also the fandom that turned crack!fic into an art, and I'll always be grateful for that *loves*
Speaking of crack turned into art? Remember the clueless!J2 that I've recc'ed some time ago? Well,
miss_begonia posted the second part and it's even more fantastic than the first part, which is saying a lot. And so hot you'll melt!
In conclusion, J2 is one of my happy places. Like whoa! ♥ ♥ Nothing new here, I know, it's just that sometimes, you really feel the love even more than usual, know what I mean? And today seems to be the day *g*

Date: 2007-04-13 05:35 pm (UTC)As for del.icio.us I have no idea what that is, my knowledge is even less than what I know about MySpace - and what I know about that would fit on a thimble!

Date: 2007-04-14 04:54 pm (UTC)Del.icio.us (http://del.icio.us/) is 'a collection of favorites.' You can keep your bookmarks over there - it's a nice way to be able to access them wherever you are. No need to be on your own computer to get them.
Of course you can use it to bookmark other things. And, for instance, I use my del.icio.us account to link to my favourite fics. I can access them in one click, I can put them in specific tags, I can also add a little summary or a description. It makes recc'ing stories really easy too...
You can also decide to sort things out with the bundle tags - though you don't have to if you don't want to/don't know how to. I love bundle tags myelf :-) Everything looks so organised and all.
