Yesterday was la Chandeleur so I went to my parents' to eat some crêpes. I flipped the first one without making it drop or cutting it in half or whatever, and though I wasn't holding a gold coin in my hand, I'm hoping it'll still bring me luck :-)

Oh and I watched the new Lost, btw! The last time I actually downloaded an episode from that show? Wow, goes way back. Must have been for 2x02, or something like that. But seeing that I'd started watching it again when s3 aired on French tv, I thought I might want to give the show another go. So I downloaded 4x01.

I liked it. Didn't hurt that it focused on one of my favourite characters, too. I know that I'm really into the whole mystery thing - I still remember being a Lost addict and both worshipping and cursing JJ Abrams for the stress he was putting me through throughout all of s1, it was so exciting - but I realise that I'd love some reassurance that I'll get some kind of closure at the end of s4. Or else it'll get seriously old. It's fine and dandy to add layers after layers and curve balls after curve balls but I want answers, now, and since I'm not as invested in the show as I once was, I'm not sure I'll enjoy being left with yet a new cliffhanger and no closure of any kind.

Anyway.

I watched the trailer for the new SPN and hee we might not have many episodes left, but they're sure going to make them count! On the one hand, I don't want to say goodbye to the boys, on the other I really can't wait to see the next episodes because they should be all kinds of awesome!

Finally, to talk about something that isn't tv related; I signed up for the book exchange that bxcllnt is organising. Hopefully it'll be fun :-)

Ah ha! so it WAS the chandeleur! I'm so out of the loop (and my bf, and his friends, apparently) that last night we had a raclette party ... lol

Dude, I don't know why but I have this feeling that I'm going to be assigned someone I already know. Mind you, that way I'd know what kind of novel to send, of course :-) So I promise I wouldn't send you a book whose main theme would be, I don't know, cross-dressing or something.

I recorded Lost so we'll probably watch it tonight but like you, we not that invested in it and if it ends on an unsatisfactory ending this season, I think that we will finally draw a line under it and not watch any more.

Exactly, if I don't get any kind of answers by the end of the season, I'll just give it up altogether and wait for the show to end to ask someone. I think I'm done with the endless cliffhangers and endless new twists. I mean, technically they do interest me, but I don't want something that lasts forever...

A few things to tell you about Lost:

First, thanks to the writers' strike, S4 will probably only have 8 episodes instead of the originally-planned 16. So if you feel that this season ends in the middle of things, take that into account.

Second, J.J. Abrams & co. have said that the show would go six seasons and then end, which gives them almost 50 new episodes to tie up all those loose ends and bring the story arc to a final conclusion. I think they'll manage it, and I plan to stay with the show until the very end. If you decide to give up on it again somewhere down the line, you can ask me for updates. :-)

Dude, for a second, I'd forgotten about the strike and how it very effectively killed our seasons. Guess it won't be their fault, then, if it ends in the middle of things.

And they want to do six seasons? Dude, I'm not sure I'll want to stay with the show so long *pout* I was already planning on asking someone for updates should I give up, so I'll definitely ask you :-)
