Of RL and T:TSCC
Feb. 20th, 2008 10:23 amTeh Body is behaving again. Good. My left hand is still hurting a bit this morning but this time it has good reasons to so I'll forgive it. Yesterday I went to my parents' workplace and did their mailing... a thousand brochures to put in a thousand envelops. In case it sounds like a fun thing to do? It's absolutely not. I'm sure you wouldn't believe it but it's pretty boring and kinda repetitive.
Still, I wasn't going to say 'no' when they asked me to help, so off I went. Going there is always like going to a family reunion; there're my parents, my sister and a cousin all working at the same place. And today a second cousin is joining the group. It makes for a very relaxing atmosphere. And it's always funny to listen to people 'whine' about there being way too many MembersofMyFamily at the same place. Because we are scary people *makes scary face*
Anyway, back to the maling thing, by the end of the day, I was ready to murder someone with the envelops! Also, I kept telling them how they were goint to be responsible for any more pain in my hand and how I might be seriously wounded after that and that they should totally thank me for the sacrifice. Oddly enough, it didn't seem to move them at all!
Anyway, that's what I did yesterday. Exciting, uh? I know. As for Monday, the job interview went well. The question being, of course, how well did it go exactly, and are they going to take me? I'm waiting for their call *fingers crossed* Oh and if I have the job, I'll be pretty close to where tbf!Sandrine works so that would be awesome too!
Speaking of, I met with her after my interview - spent the night at her place, too - and she gave me the present she'd bought when I moved in... so I have a toaster! \o/ No, this is exciting news. I don't really have breakfast when I work but during the weekends - or during unemployed time, obviously - I do and I really missed my toasts.
And I watched T:TSCC last night and it was great! So far "Dungeons & Dragons" and "Queen's Gambit" are my favourite episodes. And the plot thickens! What the hell is going on with Cameron? So she lies through her teeth now and disobeys Sarah? For what purpose? Is she secretly obeying future!John plans or is it something else entirely?
Technically, I know she obeys future!John first and foremost so it wouldn't be that weird for her not to follow Sarah's orders if it went against what she was originally told - I mean, I suppose - but still, what the hell is going on?
Also the whole "sometimes they go bad. We don't know why" was kinda creepy.
As was the last scene; I adored it, Sarah's "the machine is out there. It can't be bargained with, it can't be reasoned with, it doesn't feel pity or remorse or fear and it absolutely will not stop, ever. Until you are dead" and the image of Derek killing Adam! Lovingly chilling, I thought.
And on the subject of Derek. Backstories! I mean, futurestories! Oh, you know what I mean. I was so hoping to get those 'flashbacks' and they did it, whee!
The prison-house was so creepy. I loved how the prisoners were all chained to the floor, loved the positions... it was quite original and added to the feeling of uneasiness somehow. And the music room! Who was in there? And what did they do exactly? I thought it might have to do with some human testing or something... in any case, it was cool. In a twisted kinda way, mind, poor Derek.
And then I thought we'd finally get to see John but they were clever and played with us and it was just our!John. So frustrating lol I also love the idea of this future!John... he sounds so charismatic. A bit insane, yeah, but dude, who wouldn't be with that kind of pressure and that kind of responsibility?
Anyway, still enjoying the show \o/ Actually, if I have the time today I'll try to re-watch 1x05 and 1x06.
But now, off to watch the newest jPod.

Date: 2008-02-20 09:44 am (UTC)they should totally thank me for the sacrifice.
Tsk, isn't that just typical! They obviously have no idea of your immense sacrifice!
Also, have YAYs for a new toaster and feeling better. Those are both awesome things.

T:TSCC is so awesome, I'm afraid it'll get canceled, damn you Fox for killing so many of my favorite shows *sighs*
I hope Cameron isn't a bad guy but only follows Futur!John's orders I really like her!
I had such a crush on Brian Austin Green when I was little I hope we'll get even more Derek in the next episodes.
What I'm wondering is, if Derek killed Adam, who took the Turk? Because he said last week that when he arrived in the room Adam was already dead and the Turk gone *is confused*
Did you watch the new episode of Kyle XY?

Date: 2008-02-21 09:16 am (UTC)Just hope it doesn't mean the end of that show. But, well, with Fox' records, it's not necessarily looking good *pout*
When I saw Derek I was like 'hee, this is David! Hi David!' I hope we'll get to see a lot of him, too *g*
I'm a bit behind Kyle XY, actually. Need to remedy that asap!

David, that's his name, thank you ;D I forgot what it was *g*
The last two episodes are awesome, you're gonna love them. I found the beginning of the second part a little slow but Martin Cummins is so awesome I didn't even care!

Date: 2008-02-20 03:38 pm (UTC)Death by papercut would probably be as painful as mailing a thousand brochures! so I think it would have been, how do you say ... poetic justice *g*
I read 400 pages of Ender's Shadow yesterday instead of working :( (had to confess to someone who'd understand lol)
