castalieOh, Starbucks, my home away from home! Love of my life! How I missed you! Or How Mouse Went to a Starbucks and Ate a Cheesecake after a Hundred Years Going Without. Or maybe slighly less, but it certainly felt that long to me! Tbf!Rissy thought I sounded quite porny while I was drinking my beloved Caramal Macchiato and even pornier yet when I started eating my cheesecake but, dude, more than 40 days without the latter! It truly was orgasmic *blissful look*
Yeah, okay. Moving on!
Something I love about the SPN fandom? Both RPS and FPS. Among many things, mind. Is how some kinks that are usually considered really kinky in some fandoms are kinda the norm here. I'm thinking of rimming, if you want me to spell it out. In the SPN fandom, Jared and Jensen or Sam and Dean seem to really love rimming. Actually, they seem to just love putting their tongues/mouths pretty much everywhere. To my utter satisfaction, don't think I'm complaining :-) But it's so much fun. So in some fandoms the rimming will be a bit out of the ordinary whereas in SPN, it'll just be part of the smut, nothing special per se ♥ ♥

Everyone knows that I love Jensen Ackles. That is, you do if you've been reading my LJ and if you're a tiny bit observant. And I love to collect icons of the man. And that one, I had to have because... I just - look at him! It's not that I want to objectifiy the guy - I love him as an actor, there's never been a doubt about that - but I'm sorry, it's not my fault he's incredibly pretty. So I just love having icons of him and his hotness. And that one is one of my favourites because look at him! It's like he's calling out to you. Or something. He just looks edible, imho. And the keyword is 'teh Ackles' because that's how I like to call him sometimes.

This one comes from Pushing Daisies and it's a scene that I absolutely adored. Ned and Chuck have a very unique and special and pretty atypical relationship. One that's quite complicated too. After Ned brought her back from the dead with one touch, Chuck and him have been unable to touch again for fear of her dying. For good this time. So you have all those very sweet and/or clever and/or funny not!touches between the two of them. That one being one of my favourites... especially because of what the narrator told us when Ned and Chuck both did the holding-their-own-hands thing:
"As he stared at her, he reached around his back and held his own hand, pretending he was holding hers. And at that very moment, she was pretending to be holding his."
*happy sigh* I just love that moment. And I also thought it summed up the whole thing wonderfully. Hence the icon.

Once upon a time I had no book icon. Not a single one. Then I had one, and after a while I wanted another one. I saw this icon, thought the icon was perfect and decided to use it. Studies, book, same difference.

That's King Arthur in Kaamelott, my favourite French show. I loved that icon because this is the serious and noble and tortured Arthur we got to discover throughout the series, and the scene it's taken from is a very important one as Arthur is about to take a very difficult decision and I just love his look. I thought the icon was gorgeous.

This comes from a scene in an episode of Kaamelott. Kaamelott is a fantastic series that tells the story of Arthur and the quest of the Holy Grail. Except, in this version, Arthur is surrounded by the most incompetent knights you ever saw and, well, just about everyone in that show is a bit cracked. It's hilarious. That is, the premise is hilarious. As the seasons went, the show took a darker tone and it's still very funny but there's a lot of angst now and I think it just makes the whole thing even better.
Anyway, digressing here. The icon. It's not a direct quote but it basically comes from Bohort - aka Bors in English, if I'm not mistaken. Bohort is a very sensitive guy, who'd rather organise a banquet than going to war. To be blunt, he's a bit of coward. And there's this episode where he has a sort of breakdown and is really depressed and it's just very wrong to see him like that. He's usually a very gay character. Pun intended, incidentally, as most people think he's gay.
Anyway, it's winter and there's snow everywhere and he's just sad and longs for spring and there's this funny scene - it is funny except I know it's going to sound completely unfunny when I'm going to write it - when he has a breakdown and gets a bit crazy and starts begging Arthur to relocate Camelot in Andalousie because it's all warm and sunny there.
Told you it wouldn't sound funny at all. But the scene really is. So I made an icon of it; it's a public announcement warning the population about the imminent relocation of Camelot in Andalousie...

My beloved French Posse. The icon was made by moimoietmoi - member of the FP herself - after we met and after we joked about having our very own icon. The French Posse thing refers to our group, because I think names are important and every group should have one; French Posse came naturally so that's how our little community was christened. As for the 'sponsored by Starbucks' that's because the lot of us are Starbucks addicts - I might have something to do with this as I brought the freshly acquainted French Posse to a Starbucks on our Very First Meeting - and whenever we meet in Paris - or Lyon, now - we always, always find ourselves in a Starbucks. It's like our head-quarters.
Funny thing is that the other French Posse, or not!French Posse composed of the other French group in my flist is also addicted to Starbucks. So I guess it's a French Ljperson fangirl thing :-)

Oh, my beloved J2! Those two took me by surprise. Or let's say my love for them took me by surprise. Thing is, I'm usually attracted to the characters as opposed to the actors. I obviously respect and love the actors/actresses who play my favourite characters but I'm never really smitten with them per se. I never watch interviews with them, never look for their pictures etc... Then SPN happened and Jared and Jensen happened and just - I couldn't help it, I totally fell for them. Individually but together too. They're just so sweet together. Hot, too, of course, but I adore their relationship... they seem to genuinely enjoy each other's company, seem to be genuine friends and, I don't know, I can't get enough of those two. I obviously don't know them but I love what we can see of them and they do seem like honest guys and I love the friendship they seem to have. They're adorable and make a wonderful team and I love them with the passion of a thousand fiery sun. The end.

That one is easy; I wanted an icon that I could use when I'm either talking about tv in general or talking about a show that I don't have any icons of... I asked Babycakes for an icon that would embody my love for tv. She offered several and that one attracted my attention right away. I love it and use it quite often. Because what the icon says is true, I am a tv whore *g*
