Stuart/Vince fest

I dreamt of QaF UK last night. I am obsessed or what? To tell the truth, I also dreamt of ST:TOS (I apparently made a seventh one-- how brilliant of me), so I don't know if it counts. But both movies (I was at the movies actually) really rocked! And the theater I made up was so classy, too.

But that's beside the point. The point is, since I woke up this morning --at an insane hour, may I add-- I've been reading S/V fics. I joined a new ML --I'm not totally done with them apparently-- dedicated to that oh so beautiful pairing, and I've been swimming in a sea of Stuart and Vince hotness *g* The last one I read was with a jealous Stuart, and really, you can't go wrong with that theme lol

Also to help with this entry, I decided to post some... visual aid, so to speak *g* The caps are courtesy of dissident_dream. I was jealous about those beautiful pics, so I decided to include them on my LJ too-- thank God the girl is generous lol

Ah the third one-- well, it's a beautiful one, because they're finally together! Stuart took his sweet time, but he finally saw the light *melts*

And you wonder why I like them so much? *shakes head*

Oh and speaking of canon m/m. I got myself Vol #2 #3 and #4 of Fake-- since I can buy the English version in a store in Paris, I decided not to wait forever for the French one to catch up. English version = vol 7, French one = vol 1. You do the math *g*

And I love Fake more each time! Though I sometimes get frustrated with Ryo lol But hey, there were some *really* sweet scenes, and I'm not just talking about the kissage *g* I loved the scenes when both got so worried about the other and lost their cool. Also love jealous!Ryo-- he's too cute *sigh*

Makes me want to watch the anime again *peeks at clock* But I don't know if I'll have time. Though... I suspect my sis is still sleeping so it'll be some time before she'll pick me up lol We're going to visit our grand-father and afterward we all --with Henry and Sandra-- go to a little festival held in Choisy (it's actually held in all Val-de-Marne). It should be really nice. Lots of activities, relaxed atmosphere; plus it's sunny and warm today... it should be a blast.

Okay so the fics I've read this morning, I found at the StuartandVince ML (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/stuartandvince/). But to find the stories in an archive, it's apparently at the Across the Pond (http://qaf-fic.com/atp/categories.php?catid=1&parentcatid=1&PHPSESSID=585bc1823b0dd4f5c144d76db0c6b911) archive.

There are also some QaF UK communities over here, including goodenough4me.

I suppose there are more-- but that's pretty much all I have for now *g*

I haven't seen the UK version of QAF but those pics have made me decide picking up the DVD's are my newest priority. ^^ I'm a big (though new) fan of the US version - I'm a Mikey/Brian fangirly, and I've heard that they share the same relationship ast Stuart and vince. Do you know what I mean?

That's a wise move, really *g* I'm a big fan of the UK version-- in case it wasn't obvious lol

I never watched the US version (it's only on cable here) and I can't say I'm that impatient to see it. From everything I heard about it-- well it just sounds so soapy and everything. Not that I wouldn't watch it if it aired on a regular channel, but I'm not looking for it, if you see what I mean.

As for Brian/Michael-- well what I usually hear is about Brian/Justin, and how it's all around this pairing. So I don't know if we can compare them to Stuart and Vince. I mean, in the UK version the main pairing --even if it only 'officially' happens in the end-- is Stuart/Vince. It's them all the way.

Everything happening through the series is actually a build-up leading to this pairing. We can see the love of Vince for Stuart but also of Stuart for Vince through the whole story... it just takes forever for Stuart to finally see the light, like I said lol

So do you think it's the same thing as the US version? Are they leading to Brian/Michael or are they staying with Brian/Justin?

Well, Brian and Mikey have been friends for almost 20 years. Michael is the only one Brian opens up to, they constantly kiss and dance and rush to each other's side during hard times, but they always brush it off as best friends. And Brian won't fuck his friends. Justin is the blonde kid that wiggles his way in, but even he admits that Brian only makes exceptions in his 'no love, no relationship' for Mikey.

As they go into season 5, the main pairing is still Brian and Justin, but the scenes with Brian and Michael get more and more intense. How many best friends do you know french each other on a regular basis, or sleep together when they need comforting? ^^

I have to see the US version now. Maybe there's hope for us brian/Mikey fangirls if Stuart and Vince finally saw the light...^^

They kept pretty much the UK version guideline-- though of course they changed it/messed it up for the US one, but then what could we expect?

If you're a die hard Brian/Michael shipper, you should love the UK version since they definitely end up together *g* And I'll keep hoping your Brian/Michael do follow the same path *g*

*grins* You've given me hope, C! ^^ And even if you never enter the US QAF fandom, at the very least I hope I've managed to get your toe in the Brian/Mikey camp as opposed to the Brian/Little Blonde Horror one. ^____^

God, Stuart and Vince make my heart melt. I have season one on DVD, but I don't have two (I was going to get it for Xmas but they don't do single boxsets anymore and you have to get both together, which is a pisser). I just love these two so much ::tingles:: think your friend will mind if I nick a few of those caps and see if I'm inspired for some icons later?

Oh and I'll e-mail you later about WaT! If my comp is playing nice.

I have episodes 3 to 6 right now on DVD. I literally killed my tapes last year or so-- I taped both seasons when they aired several years ago. I asked a friend of mine for ep 7&8 for my bday *crosses fingers*
