So, hey, that's it, they changed the new profile page, didn't they? I don't hate it - though I just wish they'd let all the info at the bottom of the page. I honestly don't care to know how many entries I wrote and when I last updated and how many comments I sent and received. And I don't really understand why everyone else would be interested to know that. I think it just looks clustered.

But apart from that, I'm okay with it. Besides, it's not as if I 'lived' on my profile page, anyway. And the only times I visit one is when I want to friend someone and I'm usually only interested in what their entries have to say, I don't care about what appears on their profile page, so.

Changing the subject to something more interesting - at least, I think it is: the new SPN.

I don't even know how it's possible for a new season to reach that level of rockness. I'm more in love with SPN than ever. And since I love loving stuff, this is definitely making me a very, very happy fangirl :-) Oh, SPN, never change! Unless you want to get even better, if that's even possible ♥ ♥

Absolutely adored every single Sam-Dean scene in that ep. That is, I usually do, by default, but sometimes I'll get into them even more. This was definitely one of those times.

I'm not even sure I could pick a favourite... one the one hand, I'd run with the angstier ones, on the other, the funny ones were so very brilliant too. So let's cheat and say that my favourites are:

1.The teddy bear scene - which made me laugh my ass off and at the same time, man, how sad was that? And Sam is evil! He wants to both shoot and burn a teddy bear omg! Also, lollilop disease! *cracks up*

2. The scene after Sam wakes Dean him up in their motel room.

3. The scene in the Impala with Wesley; the way Sam and Dean are trying to justify their "miserableness" was priceless. "We're miserable! We never get what we want" - it's so true, too! "People are people because they're miserable bastards" That one in particular is just awesome - I need to look for the icon that goes with it now *nods*

4. The last scene, of course! I'd seen couple of comments - lj cuts are always so difficult to use, right? - and was expecting to be disappointed about the whole Dean-remembers-Hell-and-doesn't-even-seem-to-be-that-traumatised, because honestly that's one of the main things I've been waiting for in that season, the whole hell induced trauma, but turns out it wasn't as anti-climatic as I was led to believe when reading those spoilers.

Leaving the blockquote : I mean, it's obvious Dean isn't coping that well. And don't believe I wouldn't love to have a severely, curled up in a ball, screaming, damaged!Dean, but I'll take what I can so the nightmares and the drinking and the not being able to ever forget and the no words to express how it was and the loneliness will do. Also, who's to say Dean remembers everything? I mean, how would he remember something he forgot, if it makes sense? And it's not as if we'd heard the last of it, is it? So I'll wait and see if something else comes out of it. More nightmares is always of the good :-)

Also, Dean pulled a Sam, did you see? "You wouldn't understand" How many times did Sam throw that line in his face?

Oh and there's another scene I love, the one at the wishing well. I ached for Sam here, with his "I'm not the same guy". It's something we all know but hearing him say it always hurts. And his wish definitely showed the darker side of him. To my delight. "Lilith's head on a plate. Bloody" with that feral little look of his. Oh, yeah, Sammy's wish isn't for the faint of hearts!

And I definitely adored all the Dean scenes and Sam scenes, separately, I mean. I always say JA has the best facial expressions and deliveries but JP was just fantastic too - I rewound the whole Teddy Bear scene several times and was smitten with his "should we... are we gonna kill that damn bear?" and his answer to Dean's question about how to do that "both?" - I don't know, sometimes just one word deliveries make me insanely happy. It's the way it's done :-)

Now, I'd better skedaddle if I don't want to be late to my little rendez-vous: Starbucks + shopping = not a bad program for a Saturday :-) And tomorrow is Quantum of Solace. I love me some awesome weekends \o/

I usually look at a persons user page if I am interested in friending. I do look to see how often they post. I also look when defriending. Again. How often they post. It's true I don't need to know exactly how many posts they have made or comments or whatever, but just to know they are relatively active.

I also look at user pages, because *face palm* I sometimes see a new post by a friend and cannot remember why I friended them. I can't remember what are their fandoms. I try to keep my updated in case others do the same.

I loved this episode. I think it my be my fav so far. Joxer! I never knew how much I missed you. Makes me want to watch all my Xena dvds.

I loved how it felt like it was just the boys again. Doing what they do. So much samanddean time. You got all the good stuff I think.

Thing is, I always see how often someone posts by going directly to their LJ. It'll speak to me much more than info on the profile page. I mean, I'll see the dates and everything, know what I mean? If I see they only update once a month it'll be pretty visible over there.

I love darker!Sam so much, but it is very painful to think of earlierseason!Sam. And it really does look like a souvenir... something you only lives in your memory, because it doesn't exist anymore.

Between you and me, I don't think it's even possible for a change on LJ to occur without an uproar to go with it. There're too many people in here, LJ can't satisfy everyone.

Even the tiniest change will provoque chaos, that's just how we are ;-)

Me, I'd like LJ to stop 'fixing' things that aren't broken in the first place. The user page was nice enough as it was - though I'm sure someone else could tell me it wasn't and they were waiting for a change - but there are things that could need some improving elsewhere.

I, myself, would love it if we could convert our alloted storage space - like I could use the space I'm not using and add more icons. Stuff like that. That would be awesome.

Too true. There are lots of features I don't even use on LJ. I honestly don't understand the function of memories. I am sure I could research, but really don't seem to find the time.

I do love the track feature. The only thing I would LOVE if LJ would send the full text of the post when they send me email that someone I am tracking has posted. How much trouble would it be for them to send me the entire post?? That feature would work awesomely for those who cannot log into LJ while at work, but CAN log into their internet email account.

Yes. Never enough icons. I am actually needing to add new ones *cough Merlin* and I should weed, but I likes my icons.

Oh 'memories', that's what I used before I got tags for myself and del.icio.us for those entries written by others I want to keep somewhere safe. I haven't been using the memories section for aaaaages. It's pretty much dead by now.

HOW IS MEMBERSHIP DETERMINED?

There is no application. We evaluate potential members in the following areas using information gathered from a public profile:

How old is your journal? Journals must be a minimum of 6 months old. We feel this is an ample amount of time for you to get familiar with LiveJournal and allow us to measure how active you are.

Do you update regularly? Even if your journal is Friends Only, we can see how actively you update and make your presence on LiveJournal.

Do you comment and participate with friends/in the communities you belong to? Most applicants fall short in this area. Your "comment ratio" is determined by the date your journal was created, the number of comments you have posted.

Do you belong to other communities of similar nature? The more you have, the less appealing your application looks. Journals used only for community viewing will be rejected. Journals with large ratios between comments posted/received will be rejected - our community is not for those who use LJ simply to leech off its communities.
Have you ever gotten on the wrong side of a community moderator? This is not limited to our communities. If you have shown disrespectful or poor behaviour to any of our moderators or moderators of communities we affiliate with, your application may be denied and you may potentially be banned.

Well, lots flock their pages. I do. I am sure I miss a lot of new friends, but too many close calls and RUDENESS that I decided it was the way to go. There is even lots on the user profile that can be flocked. Anyway, even if someone was shopping me that was not already friended by me, they would not see much at all. Try to look at the page without being signed into your lj account. MUch difference.

I must admit I don't really add people whose LJs are completely locked. I mean, like you say, I must be missing some nice and interesting people, but I can't add someone if I don't know the first thing of what they talk about in their LJs. In this case, knowing that they update a lot wouldn't help me at all, for instance.

I enjoyed this episode too, but thought I was in the minority because most people I've read have been saying how flat it was. But I loved lots of things about it, especially teddy trying to blow his brains out *g*
