My program for the night? Watch that video of Brendon dancing and flailing and being, you know, Brendon, so many times that I'll have the images imprinted on my cornea! Or something. Oh, Brendon, how so awesome?

And I totally deserved some Panic related present because today was hard! So I was back at work and it was a bit of a long day. I'd forgotten how tired the flu made you. I mean, obviously it's not mono (or How Mouse Has Been Reading audrarose's Latest Awesome J2 Fic) or anything serious, but still, very tiring.

Also, there was an accident in St Michel, so the C line was shut down. Problem is, that's the one and only line that goes to Choisy. I had to take a gazillion connections then a bus to make it home. But I travelled with a young woman who - when she heard I was heading to Choisy - asked if she could stay with me because that's where she was going as well and she wasn't sure how to make it there, and we ended up talking about books and anime and it was a lot of fun.

Hey, I saw that Slumdog Millionaire has been released? That is the film inspired by the - oh, so wonderful - novel by Vikas Swarup, right? I ask because it does look like it, except I was pretty sure the main character was named Ram Mohammad Thomas in the novel and I see that he doesn't have the same name in the film? I don't know why but it confuses the hell out of me. Also, I wonder what else has been changed, and will I enjoy the adaptation?

Yes, 'Slumdog Millionaire' is based on 'Q & A' by Vikas Swarup. I don't know how much it deviates from the book, but it's been getting really good reviews so I'm planning to go see it anyway and hope that it hasn't ruined it.

Interestingly, (or not, maybe, I'm not really sure what interests people who aren't me) they've reprinted the book with the title 'Slumdog Millionaire' but it still scans through our tills as 'Q & A'

I thought I was going crazy, so thanks lol I think I'll go and see it, too, because I loved the novel so much; I have to find something to enjoy in the film too, right? And like you said, the film is getting very good reviews so.

It's interesting, all right, and not that surprising, I suppose?

I read the novel in French - it has one hell of a long title here, which I find very endearing, actually - and I'm curious to see whether they're going to reprint the book with the new title... though this would mean we would get a new French version of the novel with an English title? Mind you, marketing being what it is, it wouldn't be impossible at all.

Figure toi que non ! Je suis arrivée devant la porte et, effectivement, je n'avais pas les clées ! Au final, j'ai appelé mon père pour lui raconter mes mésaventures tout en rentrant chez moi dans l'intention de repartir immédiatement chez eux, avec les clées cette fois ! Sauf qu'une fois arrivée, mon père m'a dit qu'il allait rentrer plus tôt, finalement, donc je n'avais pas besoin d'y retourner. Hee papa, trop bonne nouvelle !

Oui au final, ça aura servi à tout le monde; moi j'étais contente pour mon père qui est rentré plus tôt que prévu, finalement, lui aussi il a bien besoin de se reposer.

Je suis intéressée par Slumdog Millionaire parce que le perso principal est Anwar de Skins. Mais je ne sais pas si je vais aller le voir au ciné, j'attendrai peut-être qu'il passe sur Canal +.

C'est Dev Patel, ou quelque chose comme ça, c'est ça ? Je le connais pas du tout cet acteur, mais tout le monde parle de lui avec un bel enthousiasme, donc je suppose qu'il est super dans le rôle.

En attendant que le film passe sur C+ - t'es patiente, c'est sur :-) - tu peux toujours lire le bouquin ? Si tu ne l'as pas déjà fait, je veux dire, évidemment :-)

Quand je veux vraiment voir un film, je vais le voir au ciné, évidemment, je n'attends pas. Mais quand je ne suis pas trop sûre, je peux attendre quelques mois. C'est rapide, C+, comparé aux autres chaînes.

Faut dire qu'avec le prix ridicule des tickets de cinéma, si je suis pas sure à 150% d'avoir envie d'aller voir le film, j'y vais pas non plus.

Ou j'attends qu'il sorte en DVD, ou je me le procure autrement, quoi ;-) Mais je suis beaucoup plus 'série' que 'films', donc en général, j'attends juste le DVD.

Elle est sympa, hein ? J'ai pas pu résister quand je l'ai vue :-)

Les DVD, ce n'est pas donné non plus, j'en achète très, très rarement. Je préfère essayer de rentabiliser mon abonnement C+, que je n'utilise plus beaucoup comparé à il y a quelques années.

Notamment parce que je préfère moi aussi les séries, que je me procure "autrement" histoire d'en être au même niveau que le reste du fandom.

Le problème c'est qu'étant plus séries que films, bah évidemment, les coffrets c'est plus cher qu'un simple DVD. Ca ne m'empêche pas de me les acheter, par contre, j'adore avoir mes séries préférées en DVD ; je mets juste plus de temps à les avoir, c'est tout. Mais je suis patiente, donc c'est jamais vraiment un problème.

Et puis bon, j'ai toujours les épisodes sur mon ordi, ça doit aider quand même lol

C'est clair qu'avec le recul, j'aurais pas dit non à un arrêt d'une semaine ! Mais bon, je suis déjà contente qu'il m'ait arrêté trois jours, c'est un peu un exploit :-)

Toujours assez fatiguée ; je me suis endormie entre deux sorties hier, et chez mes parent tout à l'heure, je me suis assoupie sur le canapé. Non mais vraiment !
