My my, LJ is breaking all kind of records this week - and not in a good way either. On top of everything else, it hasn't mailed me my comments this afternoon. It's starting to get a bit old, and when I say a bit old, what I mean is it's really getting on my nerves - but hey, since there's nothing I can do, the best course of action is to patiently wait until it's back to normal once and for all and you know, just relax and let go *takes a deep breath*

Okay, good *feeling better*

I didn't do anything today *rubs eyes* I'm stiff and sore and just feeling pretty mellow - results of both yesterday's activities with greedy_dancer --and stop snickering, I'm talking about the Pride, you pervs!-- and not enough sleep, no doubt. I still think it was worth it, I'd do it again in a heartbeat but I'm just feeling sore all over - it's not even a complaint, just a fact lol

Another result of yesterday's activities, all those LoTRips talks made me want to read more of it today - so I tried some of the stories greedy_dancer recced, and sekrit message to her : I started THE series, and know what? I understand why you like it so much lol It got me as well, hook line and sinker - and I so don't care about the plot holes or the sometimes unbelievable turns of events - I just want to read more and I'm totally getting into it - so yeah, thanks *nodnod*

Now if you excuse me, I have a this-is-just-too-much-and-pretty-unbelievable-but-damn-I-fucking-love-it series to go back to. I guess everyone needs one of those stories in each of their fandoms - and I also have the feeling some of us have more than one! lol

Though wait, a last thing. I apparently missed a new wank at AG? Damn, I always miss the fun [/sarcasm] Fandoms seem even wankier these days, is it Summer Craziness or something? *blink*

Well, I have a theory about this Summer Craziness - many people are going to go on vacation and stuff, therefore they want to get all the wank they can before, just to make sure no one misses anything - it's actually quite considerate of them lol

The big wank didn't actually amount to much. It sort of fizzled out pretty quickly. The list is dieing a slow death imho. Like most of them are, and I suspect it's because we're all having way to much fun over here on LJ. Hence all the whining about LJ acting wonky this week. ;-)

I didn't miss anything too important then? Not that I care mind you, but wanks are part of fandom life apparently, so it's nice to follow what happens, even from afar.

This ML vs LJ thing is getting so old. It's not our fault more and more people seem to get involved with LJ, right? There must be something alluring in LJ for people to get interested in it, I don't see where the problem is. Besides, internet is about changes, LJ is just the new black, so what? *sigh* I know I'm damn happy to be part of LJ. MLs never were that attractive to me, I only joined them because of the fics, certainly not for the interaction with other listsibs.

The list versus LJ thing is particularly interesting in SG fandom. A majority of the people who used to post to the lists have gone over to OurStargateForum and the new GateworldForum where they're allowed to stick to threads that interest them. So that the shipper and the slashers and noromos never have to meet, let alone interact. I'm wondering if similar things are happening in other fandoms.

As you say, the net is all about change and one day we'll probably be bemoaning the demise of LJ as the wheel keeps on turning. *g*

eeee! i'm so glad you like it too! there's always this little nag at the back of my mind, when i rec something, that the other person is gonna hate it or totally miss the "point" ... and especially with this series, it's a bit complicated, as you can imagine! because when you're not in the moment, it does sound a bit too much. (btw, read my favourite chapters this morning after posting the link ... shed one or two tears ... lol)

i did do sthg today though - apart complaining each time i unconsciously threw my head back to get my hair out of my eyes! but going to the cinema does not involve much out of sitting there, so nothing too physical.

d'you think we're gonna start tiring everybody, repeating how great it was like that? *g*
