Irony is Terri and me talking about how we feel like the time has come to give our TS comm to someone else because we haven't been involved in the fandom for a long time now, and suddenly finding a plethora of TS talks on our flists - vids, recs, scripts, new fics - thus making us talk about TS more in the past few days than we did in the past few months.
I swear it feels like the fandom felt some disturbance in the force and was trying to compensate!
It's been weird posting the entry announcing that we were looking for new mods for
sentinel_thurs; it's been our baby for the past five years, that's a long time to mod a comm, when you think of it. It felt even weirder for me because I'm used to adding fandoms, not losing them! Well, it's not as if I'm abandoning Jim or Blair, but still, it was weird, is all *shrug*
Changing the subject; I often complain about strikes - well, we have so many of them, I can't not complain about them a lot - but sometimes they do have good sides.
Like, tomorrow (well, today, I guess)? Because public transport is - supposedly - going to be extremely disturbed, making the trip to and from work pure hell on Earth, Boss Man gave me (and Cookie) the day off! On the one hand, I'd say it's a good way for him to 'pay' us for the extra hours we pulled the past weeks, on the other, it's extremely sweet of him because no-one forced him to do that! He's such an awesome boss!
The timing couldn't have been better because I went out with a couple of friends tonight and got home at 1.00 AM. I thought I was going to crash - am still really tired these days - but here I am, at 2.47 AM, still wide awake. But, hey, I'll just sleep in tomorrow so it's a-okay \o/
