So it had to happen. Jem went back to Lyon this morning. She basically spent the three days she was at my place knitting. After the mp3 cozy, she made - and finished - a book cozy. I love it beyond the telling of it.

There's no words for how impressed I am with her mad knitting skillz! She's all 'oh, that little thing? Pfft, twas so easy' but I say she's talented! And so generous too, because she's always knitting something or other for her friends and family. And she never tries to stab me with her needles! Even when I add new items on my Things I'd Like Jem to Knit For Me list. Even better yet? Sometimes I don't even have to ask, like, with words.

When we were watching Christmas Cottage, I was gushing over a certain woolly hat and scarf Jared/Tom was wearing and I just looked at her and she went 'yes, Mouse, I get it'. Ha! Awesome is her middle name ♥ ♥

Changing the subject; we've been mainlining Hero Corp's first series last night. For those who know Kaamelott, Hero Corp is Simon Astier's baby. And it'd seem genius runs in the family, because the show is really cool and funny.

You can truly see the Astiers' touch, too. Alexandre and Simon aren't brothers for nothing :-) You have stupid and incompetent knights for the former and lame-o superheroes who've been exiled in an isolated village in the middle of nowhere for the latter.

Oh, and I really like the opening credits. Especially as they all look quite competent, which is pretty far from the truth now. I mean, sure, they used to be Big Name Superheroes. Once upon a time. Back in the day. A time when, for instance, Acidman wasn't called Captain Shampoo yet. Just to name one. Anyway, onto the opening credits!

Doesn't it look nice? I think it does. Something else I love in Hero Corp is the characters' names. They all have English/American names, only prounounced à la française and it makes me laugh every time! It's just a tiny thing, when you think of it, but I think it's streak of genius :-)

Jem needs to go into business. I would totally buy an mp3 cozy. and I want something for my camera.

I'll definitely tell her she already has some potential clients on LJ lol

But, seriously, yes, I know I'd have gladly paid for the cozies she made me, so I know the feeling :-)

It's a pretty awesome show and I'll admit I am a bit in awe of the Astier family. They're so good at what they do!

Knitting slave for the win, dude!
